So would this learning disability suddenly disappear if he enrolled at LSU?

No, but we have all kinds of dumbasses at LSU already. We have a great academic center for kids like him.

Deangelo Benton is NOT out on the streets. He will be operating in Gus Malzahn's offense. That obviously appeals to him because he took a visit there 2 weeks ago, against the wishes of his HS coach and I am sure the LSU coaches.

I'm surehe will be fine provided he remains acedemically elligible.

They'll get him on that Cadillac program at Auburn. He'll be fine.

Man, I feel bad about this for Benton. However, I think one thing that may have influenced Coach Miles decision is the fact that Benton took that visit to Auburn after the LSU coaches asked him not to. Play with fire, and you might get burnt.

Right, he "could" have a learning disability or he "could" just have been pushed through the system. The FACT is neithero ne of us really know, so that argument is null and void until you offer some evidence.

Common sense from reading and listening anything people have said the last two days.

Again, any evidence to this?

Benton has wanted to go to LSU since late 2006, so I seriously doubt he decided he liked AU more in the last week.

Look, I am sure he wanted to go to LSU, and I am not saying he even likes Auburn, but maybe he realized that Auburn gives him the best chance to play on day 1, which is the truth. I think going to Auburn might be better for him in the long run than going to LSU even though he may have wanted to go to LSU.

Go to LSU and sit the bench for 2 years, finally get a chance when you are 22 OR go to Auburn, have a great shot at playing the first year, hopefully tear it up, declare yourself for the draft and play in the NFL when you are 22.

You must know the kid, huh?

Even if Les pulled the scholarship, which he didn't from what he said, how about the story of Saban getting Bell to switch only to let him know that he will be grayshirting his first year. Yea sorry no scholarship for you.

How do you know he didn't deserve this? You tell me what the reasons are that Randle couldn't coexist with Benton. Please explain it to all of us.

did no one read my post, or sports2's posts? He admitted to it at the press conference. Get over it.

Why was it cool for Luther Davis to go on a visit in Alabama, against the wishes of the coaches, and have his scholly pulled, but a travesty when the same happens to Benton?

And how would you fell if Benton got another shot, still does not get qualified and LSU lost out on Randle? You might feel clean and dumb at the same time.

because of the timing, Miles quoted as saying he had to make a fast decision regarding Benton, why would he have to do that if it weren't for Randle, why did LSU bring Benton on a visit even after he visited Auburn?

So Les tells parents that he wants to give their child an opportunity to play for LSU and get a great education, but he only means it if they get in right away? Benton could be lazy, or Benton could have learning problems. I'm not defending him for not qualifying, but the guy had an offer for two years only to have it yanked because of pressure.

It's bullshite.

It's fricking ignorant to look at a situation only from one perspective. Les Miles was in a no win situation. He did what was best for LSU...and managed to overcome a huge hurdle to land the #1 WR in the country when it seemed an impossiblity last night.

If you only consider Benton, you'll come to one conclusion. If you consider everything, you'll see that Miles made the best decision possible. There was no perfect decision.

Whatever the reason, you are asking Miles to get behind a guy who is a risk to qualify, after 2 years of not qualifying, and thus ensuring that he will land the #1 prospect on his board.

This makes sense to you?

My guess is that he knew that this was a possibility.

I think his coach said it best, "he's talking to the wrong people" which sounds like to me he was just persuaded by the AU coaching staff. I don't feel bad for the kid, I'm just putting together what Miles said and what he did. Its clear he pulled the scholarship for Randle, but I admit there might be a hidden reason behind it.

Then you are NOT a true LSU fan! Why would you want an opposing teams WR to burn our defense? shite happens...if he would've qualified from the start, he would be at LSU. Oh and by the way......

This makes sense to you?

Does it make sense to you to let an 18 year old kid's family to dictate what one of the highest paid coaches in America does? Don't give me that bullshite. I'd rather Randle over Benton, but if it came down to honoring Benton's scholly over the pressure from the Randle's, I'd say Benton. I don't know that this was the case, but if it was, I'd side with Benton. Randle has the brighter future for LSU, but that kind of shady BS is what comes back to bite you in the arse. Benton is a good enough player to where I wouldn't lose a ton of sleep.
