The number next to the name is their 247 ranking. I put all the Louisiana guys that seem to have interest. I assume we have 7 or 8 spots left. Let me know if I missed someone.

RB
Cam Akers - 13
Travis Etienne - 230

WR
Devonta Smith - 15
Racey McMath - 573

OL
Alex Leatherwood - 7
Adrian Ealy - 485

DT
Marvin Wilson - 12
Phidarian Mathis - 292

DE
K'Lavon Chaisson - 90
Isaiah Buggs - #6 JUCO
Joe Anderson - #41 JUCO

OLB
Dylan Moses - 4
Christopher Allen - 107
Levi Jones - 160
Bruce Jordan-Swilling - 171
Thomas Johnston - 393
Josh Clarke - 492

ILB
Will Ignont - 188
Akileis Leroy - 1,321

CB
Brad Stewart - 140
Tre Swilling - 423
Amik Robertson - 734

S
Todd Harris - 75

Here are our current commits and their 247 rankings.

QB - Brennan - 180, Narcisse - 250
RB - Edwards-Helaire - 249
FB - Carter - 1,557
WR - Ausbon - 74, Netherly - 287, Guidry - #5 JUCO
OL - Deculus - 62, Ingram - 209, Charles - 337, Stewart - 1,282
DT - Shelvin - 60, Farrell - 404
DE - Thomas - 580, Moffitt - 888
OLB - Queen - 349
CB - Vincent - 168, Kirklin - 329
S - Stevens - 24, Delpit - 26

I'm guessing that Seth Stewart, Neil Farrell, & Justin Thomas are going to rise in the rankings eventually. Patrick Queen's rankings seems a bit low as well.

Queen will for sure rise. I would think the two DL from Alabama will as well.

Can anyone think of any other players to add? I just added Thomas Johnston & Josh Clarke.

LSU is in better shape with Akers than a lot of people think. Not a lock by any means but definitely not out of the question.

If not him another RB will likely be part of this class.

I REALLY want Cam Akers in this class. We need a young horse in the stable. After Fournette and Guice we don't really have a star. There's always next year's recruiting class too though.

I don't see Akers being in this class tbh. I've been wrong before and it certainly isn't over though.

No need to panic about RBs at LSU though. It's a position that freshman can contribute at every year. LSU fans have gotten spoiled with Hill and Fournette, but we did just fine with a committee for many years before them.

I think tlsu15 is dead on, and to OP-Thanks for the great breakdown. This is the kind of thread that 99 percent of us want to read. Not the flaming and cock measuring threads usually generated. Gods job man
