Sabes loved Mayes, I think his main hold up was he was extremely stupid

Sat next to Mayes in History freshman year. He came to class 3 times and the 2nd time was the class after the midterm which he obviously failed since he didn't take it. He shrugged it off and told me he'd just get an A on the final.

Was crushed when Walter young picked baseball. Still think he would have been a star DR

Did get a cup of coffee with O's, though

I was high on Sammy Joseph transferring from Colorado. i thought he'd play in the NFL

Jerry Sevin would have been da truth

this board pumped me so full of Luke Sander's juice with all the weightlifting pictures and 40 times that I thought he was the next Urlacher, and not one of the worst starting LBs in LSU's history

When i was in HS i used to read that LA High School recruiting magazine, and they pumped Brandon "Bull" Hurley up so much. I think it was his cool nickname and the fact he dominated a small class.

Donovan Grayson in that same class. I used to think he was the next Levon Kirkland. He was huge

I thought Brent Rawls was going to be the best QB to come out of evangel. Still don't quite understand what happened.

Parquet had all the tools, lacked the drive. Pretty sad about whatever happened to him, he was a good dude

Good for scrappy. I'd like to think my lesson in humility and knowing you role helped in his journey to the top.
Also. If heavy core's story is true ( doubtful) = awesome

In some of his earlier HS highlight tapes Washington looked unblockable. He had injuries though, so I am not sure his promise was all bad evaluations.

i did, he was the best HS player i ever saw. From the time I saw him as a SR to the time he got to LSU, he had gained like 20lbs and lost the athleticism that made him great.

i loved Daryl Johnson too

as far as Parquet, he was never really pushed in HS, though he was a freak athlete. Got to LSU and just got buried because of the other talent. Went to Memphis, did ok, got kicked out for setting a car on fire and pulling insurance fraud. then a D2 school. HAd some NFL tryouts, but fizzled out. He didnt get sick until after that. He was really bad off. Bed stricken, couldnt do anything without the help of someone. I think he had some type of serious viral infection
