Assuming everyone from this past season returns (except the Seniors) then LSU already has 10 guys on the roster + 2 signees. That only leaves 1 more available scholarship. VCU has one PF signee who was recruited by and visited LSU. It's possible he could come along as it fills a position of need

Otherwise on to next year unless there is some attrition from this year's roster (always possible with a coaching change)

If J Smart was even considering LSU, this HAS to be a help to his decision.

VCU has a guard who with the 2017 class who would fit in perfect here, I can think of 2 guards who could transfer now.

A good start would be a basketball recruiting sticky. There hasn't been one in over a year. There is one for football and baseball.

At this point, him leaving would be the heavy Vegas favorite. It's going to take major work by Wade to keep him.

Don't know much about the kid since I don't live in the area, but Josh Anderson isn't signed with WKU. Wade could try to flip him..

He's a PG. Mays showed some promise the past season and I think he goes into year 2 as the starter. Plus, the biggest fish LSU would be after next year is Smart out of Scotlandville. He's also a PG. I don't know if the VCU commit would come along knowing Mays (as a Soph.) would likely be the starter next season with LSU also pushing hard to bring in a 5* Freshman PG for the next season

The bad thing with basketball recruiting, the majority of players sign in fall during the early signing period. It's always a mess in the spring when there are coaching changes. I see VCU had their class already wrapped up in the fall. However, WW was also recruiting Landers Nolley II, so hopefully he can get a legacy back home.

There needs to be a big push for Javonte Smart and Shareef O'Neal for next year's class, but we're going to have to go the graduate transfer or JC route for a couple of bigs, an area that we are sorely lacking. Maybe, Victor can get clean and humble himself to get back in good graces with the team. We need some rebounding and post defense bad.

I think we probably ought to operate on the basis that VCU will do us ZERO favors when it comes to Wade poaching their recruiting class, particularly if their administration is anything like their fans who are spitting blood over the coach coming here.
