somehow i don't see that as swagger. i define it as an unhealthy view of one's importance. immature at the least.

OK, saw it. Definitely kind of tame compared to a lot of other announcements I've seen.

On the other hand, it gave me chills when the room went nuts screaming, LSU! LSU!

Following the goings on of "these entitled kids" has made him millions.

Does he want to give that back?

This thread wasn't an indirect "ESPN hates LSU" accusation. I was asking a question, and got some answers to that question. The timing of Herbies Rant was interesting to me, though. He had never flown off of the handle about that subject before. He literally spit on himself a, a little.

Why?

I understand it wasn't broadcast ESPN, but I guess it was still possible via the internet. You know, like everyone else saw it.

In hindsight, he probably didn't watch it and there were a few other "entitled kids" he was more likely railing against.

Kirk is a hypocrite. If he is upset about how some of these guys announce, then maybe he should not be on ESPNU's show, which only pimps these kids even more.

It's because you aren't 18 with every major college network/media outlet sucking you nuts for 6 months!

Wether us older guys like it or not, it is what the media has made this circus become and kids frick with the heads thru the media just like we all did to each other when we were young.

And yes, it is immature, but it is wreckless to broadcast it. Something will happen one day that makes all of this stop, and it won't be pretty.

How is it wreckless [sic]?

They wouldn't broadcast it if people wouldn't watch it.

c'mon man,you seriously think he is out watching announcements all over the net.
maybe if he was an osu commit and even then i doubt it.

he also had a rant about the subject before the rasco announcement.

maybe i missed a segment, but i didn't see him go nuts about this subject before 2:15 pm, and Rascos announcement was after most had been done already.

It's ok though, i'm over it.

i didn't read all the posts, but Herbstreit didn't see rasco commit, espn didn't show it. he was talking about all the recruits that espn showed during the day.

They must lock Herbstreit in a room where his internet connection only allows ESPN.com,ABCTV.com,and Disney.com.

Oh, I forgot about playhousedisney.com

I AGREE he probably didn't see it, but it's not because it wasn't shown on ESPN.

This is the reason I don't go to the Bash, went once 2006, that was enuf, don't watch it all day, just want to see the results. The show of the a-hole prima donnas and the hat ceremony is nauseating, these little boys haven't done shite yet. Just a bunch of strutting fools.
