Well Close the board to outsiders and you won't have that problem. I will asked chicken to close the board to outsiders because it is affecting recruiting.

That's true BUT if we make them feel unwanted before they even step foot in the door then that's not good! Now once they are here and do something dumb or whatever then yeah they better be ready for the scrutiny!

As in the countless threads on this site cheering on Cam Robinson to come to LSU? As many or more threads talking about how awesome Leonard Fournette is? How great Hootie did in X game??
So you are saying some players feel unwelcomed by this?

I dislike Saban as much as anyone. But I come to TD for information. There is many posters that provide great information. But there is way too much negativity, and Bama stuff on here. Don't be mad that just the way I feel.

Just for the record I don't think this site had any negative impact on Hootie. I think we showed him a ton of love especially when we thought he was a LSU lean.
But overall I think the drunk texters need to be eliminated and we have good fun spirited conversations about LSU and the recruiting.

Hell the #1 local sports radio station now plays Paul Finebaum.
Dont think that will have a bigger impact in years to come for this area than anonymous posters. Now they get to hear from an "expert" about how great Bama is and his low views of Les.

No I'm saying some recruits feel unwelcomed to the negative side...like the threads about "nah he won't play this position in college he'll play this or I watched him last night idk what all the hype is about or he is good but so and so is a much better take than him" and on and on and on...c'mon man don't play dumb

Agreed but that should be for the parents of the recruits to say not the FAN BASE of the coach. We should be supporting the coach. The shoe is always on the other foot. We get on here and dog the coach and give ammunition for other schools to use. Because I can assure you that other school are printing this crap and tell it to kids. as if its factual information.

The school is nothing without its fans. Look at how lifeless Death Valley was during the games the fans left early or didn't show. We are the culture we are the tradition. Its takes all things to create the buzz and atmosphere.
We rain down celebration and bring the team back to life at times.
to answer your question. I would most definitely send my kid to another school if I felt that he would get boo'd or mistreated because of poor play. I know it can happened but if this does happen I need to have trust in the coaching staff and LSU team environment to have his back.
(I wouldn't send my kid to Bama because of the way Nick dog Cursed McCarron his sophomore year or the way he left LSU and the thing she said after the Iowa loss.)

I didnt think bashing recruits was even tolerated.
Now on the rant you see fans talk about current players and coaches. But thats typical of any team with fans.
