Strange how it all seems so obvious to us.

What's the chances J.son is a silent to Auburn, & they're just trying to screw with us, like LC?

Also, don't we have some to count back to last year, as we under-signed, esp with early enrollment now getting to be so common?

I dont know how many times it needs to be said; but Johnson is realistically like 4th/5th on Auburn's board, if not lower. As of right now the only way I see Johnson being made a priority is if Auburn misses on multiple guys ahead of him OR decides to sign 2 quarterbacks in this class...neither of which I see as being overly likely.

0%. He wants a committable offer, Loeffler has others higher. Not saying Johnson is bad, I won't be at all disappointed if we end up with him, but Loeffler is going after big national QBs

Johnson may be 4th or 5th on the board now but in a span of 2 months he could easily be up to #1. Once the 3-5 guys ahead start commiting, they'll go quickly and with the guys Auburn has ahead of him currently, there's a real possibility that Auburn misses on them all. Rettig is from CA and enjoyed his visit but who doesn't enjoy visits? Bateman has offers from everyone and could end up anywhere. Olsen is Miami's to lose unless they get hammered and then who knows. Not sure who else is above Johnson but as stated the possibility is real that Auburn's board falls to Johnson by May. That is the LSU dilemma. If all the above happens then LSU is left in the cold in regards to Johnson. So while Johnson is lower on Auburn's board at the moment, he's 3-4 guys that are far from locks away from being back on top.

Why is it being said Conner Mitch does not have a commitable offer? Krags specifically told Mitch an offer would not come until he made a visit to BR. Well obviously we are well aware that Mitch did in fact visit. In a perfect world, I would agree with lsufanva by saying 1 dual threat and 1 pro-style would be best. With that being said if we landed JT Barrett and Connor Mitch that would be awesome. I really believe we have a good chance with landing both of them.

LSUFANA, i like your list of spots by position but i think either we end up with one qb or no rb. we currently have 3 bd commits with a spot for jefferson. assuming we take mass. & myles we would be full at db. i think with the no. of athletes left in la. plus guys like priest, m. smith, a. davis, and the florida guys that we could end up with 6 dbs.

So the #1 QB on our board is from Bama and he's 4th or 5th on Auburns board and not even on Bama's radar?

I want Connor Mitch or another pro style qb. Miles obviously can't run an offense with a dual threat qb..

Agree Hollins and my main point of only putting 5 dbs is because at the time we had limited S offers out. After that it seems we offered every S from CA iin the class. I personally hope we take 6 dbs and think we will and that's why I left off the 26th spot that we have. That's the bonus spot. Also while I think the plan and direction is to take 25, things change so fast that we could have some problems at the end like last year to get to 25. We could easily take 25 with the instate kids but no one is sure if we'll take them or not. Also I could see us taking 1 to no LBs. We don't have many offers out at the position and from some people it appears that Claiborne and Jones aren't in much contact at all with the staff.

The Mitch commitable offer thing is according to the insiders. They feel that Johnson and Barrett are 1a and 1b and will get 1st dibs. Barrett will commit to us or OSU within the month and we'd take him most likely. In that case I also think it's possible that Mitch could join as well. Just depends on who gives him commitable offers and whether he wants to be in a 2 man class.

Just curious who you mean by "insiders." Not names per se - don't want you to reveal your sources. But do you mean coaches, boosters, "recruiting services, someone else?
