I reference JM who was really the TAMU offense. With him gone we shall see but I do not believe they are built to have a good offense without him. Even with him LSU shut them down 2 years in a row.

Yes, LSU's offense will be better than TAMU. Ours wasn't built on one person like theirs and we continue to plug guys in.

I'd be pretty disappointed if Speedy went to A&M. What more does he want from what Cameron showed him this year?

I am not expecting Speedy at this point.
If we get him it will be icing and I really hpoe he chooses us but will not let it ruin my feelings about this class if he chooses elsewhere.

After talking to a coach at Karr and having a conversation with a parent who asked Frank Wilson about Speedy, people who don't think TAMU is in play are in denial. I think it is going to come down to who can offer Speedy what he wants, not necessarily who has the better team. That being said, I'm not sure what he really wants out of his college team.

I really think the lure of playing with GW and staying home will win out in the end. He knows he's gonna produce wherever he goes and I think it's all about comfort at this point.

Exactly what is it that speedy wants? I'm just not understanding the rationale. LSU has two 1k receivers with similar builds to speedy whereas A&M had one dominant receiver whose game is completely unlike Speedy's. I can't attest to whether Karr's offense is like A&M's but what does it matter, the kid is playing a completely different position. If he goes, he goes...but you'd at least like to see it based on sound logic.

He would get more touches..way more touches. He would also have a better opportunity at immediate impact playing time

But that is your logic that you are imparting on him, not his own. Perhaps in his eyes TAMU has what he wants. I don't know. Cam found it logical to commit to Bama and Quille found it logical to commit to AU, both over LSU. LSU currently has 7 commits from OOS kids who thought it was logical to leave the state. Everyone's motivation is different. Many times kids who pass on going to a better program to go to a less competitive one is because they want to be THE MAN as oppose to just another stud. Some just want to leave home. Some think that the system will honestly get them more exposure. And it isn't like TAMU isn't afraid to play backyard ball, which is Karrs specialty.

This kid has been as enigmatic as an LSU "lock" can be. I still don't know for sure he's coming here.

I know all of the know-it-alls are still giggling and saying he's trolling LSU. I don't think he is. We may end up with him in the end but I think it's closer than a lot of people want to admit.

Anyone who knows anything about recruiting will not use "lock" and "Speedy" in the same sentence.

Eh. More touches I can see, but the WR position is as open at LSU as it's ever been. He'll have ample opportunity for playing time early

Ok. So ATM won't have an offense, but LSU will? I'd say LSU is losing just as much, if not more than ATM.

Sounds like whoever can give him the most food on the table will get him. Guy weighs 165 how much food does he need?

Idk how anyone can honestly say he would get more touches at aTm. More opportunities, but they spread it out a lot and have proven they like throwing to big receivers on the outside as the first read then having the slot as a safety valve.

He would essentially be Jarvis Landry for Cameron at LSU, plus do sweeps, wr motion option plays (total guess,
but dont be surprised) and possibly line up at RB in shotgun sets. Heck might run some wildcat with him. Such a gamebreaker.

Let's just assume Speedy is 50/50 with LSU/TAMU.

It seems he loves the TAMU offense... well, more accurately the potential role he would play in TAMU's offense. And it's doubtful it would suck. So because of the role Sumlin has sold him on, lets also give them the nod and an extra 10% for that.

So the key to getting Speedy is his future teammates. Many of them are right there with him in Orlando. THAT is the draw that can beat out what TAmu has sold him on. The draw of his own. People he's played against, kids he's played with in some cases. If he feels the love from the other LSU recruits in Orlando, the chances LSU gets him shoots up exponentially in my opinion. What influences a kid more? Peer pressure or an authority figure.

He wants to go to a place that feels like family.... Think about that for a minute and recognize the amount of New Orleans kids about to choose lsu.

Besides that obvious fact ... Read the part about who's recruiter him the hardest. Granted I think lsu has pushed for his commitment but they haven't let off the pedal for 4 years... That has to mean something
