This next class is stellar, this may be Torina's best class. We have the #1 pitcher in the nation committed, along with deadly hitters that are "contact hitters". They aren't necessarily power hitters but single and double hitters. We'll have to wait to see their senior years to see how much power they have developed. Defensively, they are terrific. I have never felt this confident about a group of players.

Sydney Bourg- She hit well over .600 her junior year, she has a lot of upside. While she is a very good slapper with speed, she has hit around 6-10 home runs, 14 doubles, and 14 triples. She is an all around player who is great defensively. She was heavily recruited by Florida State and Texas. She can play anywhere in the infield. LINK

Allison Walljasper- She is the real deal, the #1 pitcher in the nation from Californa. Many believe she is a lot further than Fico was at this point in high school. She will start immediately. Her junior year she had a .47 ERA, struck out over 220 hitter in 117 innings. Opponents at a .087 batting average against her. She will most likely be freshman of the year. I can't wait to see her at LSU.

Taylor Lockwood- She is an outfielder that Beth recruited assiduously. She brings a lot of power, and is a very good contact hitter. She will be a very good player. She broke a school record for doubles but also showed she can play gorilla ball after her junior year. She's a special one and are very fortunate to have.

Emily Griggs- She is the best PURE hitter in this class. The best comparison I can make is that she is 2012 Raph Rhymes but way better, which is scary. She hit .688 her junior year, she doesn't have a lot of power but she'll develop a lot under hitting coach Howard Dobson. She was heavily recruited by Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, California, Michigan, and Oklahoma. She was committed to Florida before, but she decommitted and committed to us. She is very athletic and will play in the outfield most likely.

This class is very special and is without doubt the most talented under Torina. I expect Torina to add atleast 1 more player before its all said and done. Signing period is in mid november, I'll keep yall updated on our next target!!

It'll be interesting to see how the pitchers shake out over the next couple years. I watched both their state title games and Corbello was much more dominant. But it's just one game and Selman's opposition looked much tougher than Baylee's.

I have seen both, Selman is better. Her team abuses her arm a lot more. She is the only reason their team is good! Beth's development of Czechner is encouraging, so I'm excited

I know about Walljasper, but this incoming class is very good. Maybe the best we have had in a long while. But if the 2014 class is better, then great days are ahead.

Torina and Jones are very identical! I remember us all getting pissed off when both were hired, they are both proving us wrong. Jones was always a good coach, he put north Texas on the map. Beths record at Florida international over shadowed what she really did. She took a team from 29-34 to 31-29 to 38-21. That's incredible considering its Fl. International, its very difficult to get players for a school like that

Hoping Jaquish is an immediate impact as Bell has been. I know one or both pitches will be to.

Don't kid yourselves guys, LSU was just as good as anyone in the conference when they are on their game. Torina and Fico battled sick family members the entire season. We hit a slump towards the end of the season, shite happens. It will be very interesting next year. Czechner and Selman in the circle with a solid defense that can hit. Next years team will have one of LSU's best offenses in a while. Simmons, Bells, kloss year of experience is huge!! Look at AJ Andrews, went from sub .250 to over .350 with twice as many hits. Jaquish will hit over .300 with 6-10 homers, it wouldn't surprise me if she hit more.

2013 signee Kelsey Selman pitching for state title on FSSW right now. Defense not helping. She struck out the first 3 batters in the game. Shes a 1st team high school all-american
