Wow, that's suprising. He went on some good visits. He either held out too long for a better offer and was SOL, or those schools had him on the backburner.
Not a huge fan of his, but he definitely was at least CUSA level in my opinion.

Where you from in Richmond? I'm in Sandston right down the street from the airport. Seven pines area. Lot of LSU/LA people in the greater Richmond area. It's strange.

We live in the near West end off 64. Many LSU grads have moved up here for work the past 10 years. Yes i like Richmond a lot and love Va. 90 miles to D.C. 90 miles to Ocean. 70 miles to mountains. 45 minutes to Williamsburg (2 great amusement parks in busch gardens and water country). We Get all 4 seasons and no traffic at all. Economy is good here. Schools are very good and not much crime. Easy to get anywhere on east coast in just a few hours. 4 hours to Philly. 4 hours to Charlotte. 3 hours to outer banks & great ocean spots there. 5 hours to myrtle beach. I love it !

Samford is a good school. He will get a good education for free. He's not a pro, so that's a good thing.
