I doubt he weighs that number and, frankly, almost all oline recruits are projects considering body fat and technique. again frankly, we need more athletic olinemen to improve our pass blocking and hopefully that is what the staff sees in this young man.

Yeah, I don't know how you claim a guy is stricly a project based solely on his rivals listed weight.

Another kid with a nasty streak - I like him - his footwork is good enough to play tackle. Frame is good (not great, but good) - and he can grow a little more.

I'm not ready to say project until he gets to fall camp. Nastiness cannot be taught - remember that line with Herman Johnson at left guard? I want a line THAT nasty.

at 6'5", he can gain 50 lbs in one year no problem. They have access to unlimited weight gain powder/supplements and are non-stop weight training once they get on campus.

How heavy was Russell Okung listed on his Rivals profile?

Like I said a few days ago, LSU feels like they are in a very good position with Kelly.

In their defense, at least one of those kids had actually committed to LSU. You just have to take the info for what it is worth. They know who the staff is looking at, and can also talk to players. You have to make your own judgments. The reason people were so upset was that the judgement they developed, with all info available, was that these kids were going to LSU.

It just goes to show you that recruiting is unpredictable. The 3 guys that committed to other schools at the UA game had visited LSU more than any other schools they visited combined. Same for Hootie, most likely. Actions indicated LSU. This was followed by kids like Cam Robinson talking up both schools, saying he was an LSU fan growing up, while frequenting Bama. Actions indicated Bama.

What is just baffling to me, is what the shite were these kids doing all this time (particularly Willis) hanging out at LSU if they never even planned to come here in the first place. It's just strange use of time.

You seem to forget were about to get a new OL coach..
