According to what his mentor told AuburnUndercover, Oregon is in the lead followed by AU and LSU.

Doesn't look like he will make a decision next Friday and his mentor said the same.

Early playing time has his attention as of now.

can we really believe his mentor or is he just trying to add to the suspense and drama since many believe he will commit to auburn?

oregon leads, if true does that mean that he and LS are looking to go their separate ways since LS didn't visit oregon.

Lache and Reed are not a package deal according to Lache. He mentioned this a few times saying if that they would make their own decisions.

Does LSU truly need to sign Reed considering the WR prospects who have already committed? Is he that much of a difference maker?

I get burned out on these recruits who are obviously playing the field to get the best deal for themselves and their families. I understand that this is part of the recruiting game. However, I prefer LSU to sign talented guys who actually want to play for LSU and are not afraid to make a commitment early on and stick with it.

A lot of these so-called talented players who hold out to the last day of the process do not turn out to be as good as their press clippings anyway because their refusal to commit shows a certain lack of character on their part. I mean, how many trips and how many months does it actually take for a guy to figure out where he wants to attend school?

I don't think it takes that long. In other words, these recruits who hold out to the very end of the recruiting process are nothing more than hired guns in their attitude and level of commitment to the school they ultimately sign with.

He's obviously not a must-have for LSU. Auburn and oregon both need a high-impact WR alot more desperately than LSU. He'd just be an asset in BR, and most likely be redshirted til other talent can clear the field so he can get some PT. Don't understand why people think he is priority no. 1 for Miles

I disagree. I believe it is very hard for a top 1 or 2 player in La. to commit somewhere else due to the elite status of the progra, and outside pressures. some of these guys really don't know what is best until they are forced to make a decision (NSD, Randle). others are loving the process (LS).

Thanks for your reply. I agree with you. Reed seems to me to be in the mold of guys like Chris Tolliver, Jyrhyn Taylor, Jared Mitchell, Chris Mitchell, etc. Nice player, but nothing exceptional. The most successful receivers at the college level tend to be the taller, more physical receivers like Lafell, TT, Randle, A.J. Green, Julio Jones, and the like.

For years now Mike Detillier and others in the area have been saying Reed really really likes Oregon. That they been telling him that he can play quarterback for them. He has an ugly throwing motion but he has a decent arm and is pretty accurate. With his wheels it could work.

True, but guys like sammy stroughter, damian williams, etc have done pretty well for themselves.

Very true, I actually overlooked this. The offense is a big selling point for recruits who want to play QB, and masoli is kickin arse this year, who wouldn't wanna be him right now?

No chance in hell for Reed to play QB at Div I level. That will not happen and Reed is smart enough to know that. He has zero desire to play QB in college.
