Was he the one talking shite about Tre White when he gave up a TD vs A&M?

He has talked shite so much that I can't remember the specific shite that he has talked.

Back on topic, I see Golden to Penn State as a real possiblity. Franklin is interviewing for the PS position, but I have it on good authority that Franklin ends up here in Austin. Golden's seat is getting warm in Coral Gables, giving lsu a real shot at valentine and thomas imo.

would be huge

He's hearing it from booster about the way the last two seasons have ended, as well as the dismal play in the bowl this year. Notice I said warm, considerable amount of difference between 'warm' and 'hot'.

eta: he's also been losing in "the state of miami". UM supporters/contributors don't like losing those kids from Miami Central, Booker T washington, etc.

I don't remember anything about this - why did LSU not offer Ellis?

Heck, I think it is likely, now.

May happen, but I'll have to see it to believe it. Three (3) seasons of HC experience, all at Vandy - and he's had a good run. He's only 41 years old. Mack had 14 seasons of HC experience when Texas hired him - and had just led North Carolina to 6 straight bowl appearances.

He felt entitled. As did his daddy.

Also, White and Robinson are much, much better than him.

I don't doubt the Ellis thing is a factor but don't tell me his group still wouldn't be talking mess and starting stuff because LSU would still have started Tre White over him.

Ellis didn't get significant time on one of the worst defenses in the country. If Speedys dream is to make a play and run to the sideline and find Ellis and high five him. Well, he's living the dream.

I'm not arguing any of that. Just making a point about the whole package deal thing

Totally agree, but everyone in Austin (writers, sports talk guys, even Chip Brown) love his attitude, intensity, and what he's able to do at VANDY. Bring him to Austin, give him the money and tools, and you could/probably will see the resurgance of the program.

Not the only one. I want Valentine because he is a true DT and we need those in the worst way with the loss of Freak and Ego.

Valentine dominating in USAAG practices

That doesn't always work out. Tennessee gave Chris Leak's brother a scholarship and lost him to Florida. Didn't Willie Williams' teammate from HS get a schoolarship to Auburn then he went to Miami?

Sometimes it works all the time. Sometimes not.
