Noel Ellis Sr. coaching at St. Aug this year

That is quite interesting. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Coach Wilson comes recruiting there.

So a head coach that has a background with Alabama goes out and hires the father of a recruit that LSU didnt offer and went with TAMU, and has been very public with his feelings toward LSU since then.

Makes me cringe. Coaches are supposed to be there to help guide these recruits to the next level. They arent supposed to be biased towards certain schools. Sounds like Crutchfield has actually done a good job at being unbiased and letting the recruit make the decision on their own, but I have a hard time believing that Noel Ellis Sr will be able to be unbiased.

But St Aug has big time recruits every year.

Fournette's little brother, but I doubt Ellis will affect him.

Unless it was the uncle posting under his name, Sr. freaked out on a Rivals article when Tredavious became a 5 star.

Yall are looking at it from a small sample size. Since 1964, St Aug has had 34 players go on to play in the NFL. Trai Turner will be 35. Thats ridiculous. Thats more than an NFL player every other year. 0.7 NFL players per year is what it comes out to. A decent ratio for some colleges, amazing for a high school. In 2004, they had the 2nd most active players in the NFL out of every high school in the country.

I have no idea who else they have coming out in the next few years besides Morgan and Lanard. But I guarantee you they have some young players that become legit college prospects. They always do. St Aug isnt a school that has 1 or 2 prospects every few years. They have multiple guys every single year. Its a legit D1 feeder school for all athletics, not just football.

Fact is, St. Aug is 1 of the few schools in the state that consistently sends out D1 talent year in year out. Each year, they have legit prospects and have multiple D1 players. You can only say that about a handful of high schools in the state.

His uncle was the 1 that was worse, but Noel Ellis Sr has had his moments as well.

Shout out to "TEAM HAWKINS"who actually knows how competitive it is to compete at the big three (Rivals, Opening, Gridiron Kings)... Our kids were at all three and competed at a high level.. I dont see how this guy wont be negative towards LSU / biased to other places.

And yea I agree that having 2 guys like TM and LF helps a lot. But, these are their high school coaches that they see every single day and are huge influences on these kids.
