However, this was a very down year for talent in the state. Quite frankly, there was not enough SEC West type talent.

All 12 players listed are SEC West type talent though.

Most of the players instate this year LSU either found much better players OOS or simply passed. Isn't really a good year to say this but I agree with Mathis and Allen, those two we want badly. LSU would take Harris and Smith but it really won't have an effect either way this year. We could use another WR so smith is also fairly important but it's just not a real big need per say. We also have tons of WRs next year. OT and RB will be crucial next year IMO. Along with filling up with quality depth, let's face it LSU needs to start grabbing 4 and 5*s even in years we don't need them also. Next year will be one of those years, need to stack this team up, next year will be the year to do that. GT

This is the worst LSU has done in-state since before Dinardo

Probably the worst in-state talent since Dinardo, too. A lot of the guys in the top 10 this year wouldn't have been in the top 25 in some recent years.

Not that important.

Beat Alabama. Make them human again.

THAT is the MOST CRUCIAL goal for 2017.

LSU will get enough high quality recruits to accomplish this. It always has.

I hope I am wrong, but from what has happened so far with LSU and in-state recruiting, it's history repeating itself. It's the 1970's and 1980's and 1990's all over again. It's the same shite with recruits who want to win NC's. If they don't believe LSU can beat Saban and compete for NC's they will go to Bama or somewhere else where they believe they can. It's a frickin shame! Les had the players to beat Saban, he had everything he needed, except for a competent OC. Hell, in 2011 if LSU would of had a good OC they would have beat Alabama. I mean, nothing against Studrawa (or however his name is spelled) but he wasn't a good OC. I really hope Orgeron can get LSU back to where they should be. If he can prove he can beat Bama and compete for NC's, then the tide will turn (pardon the pun) in LSU's favor!!!!!

Should you add Moses to that list?

Thought about adding Moses, but decided to keep strictly to the 247 composite. They list Moses as a FL recruit since his last year has been at IMG.

Bama's Louisiana class is insane. It all stops next year! We need a big win to turn the tide so to speak!
