By that definition, Aaron Rodgers and Ben Roethlisberger are dual threat QBs. Athletic =/= dual threat.

In the literal sense, I see it but not when talking about qbs

Any recruiting service or professional scout would agree With my definition

Andrew luck and drew brees can be added to that list...both outstanding athletes

When I think DT, I think Newton, Kaepernick, Mariota, RG3, etc.

Mett could run and pass. Is he a "duel" threat?

Rodgers- yes. Ben - no. Dual threat is when you can hurt someone in the open field not just being able to move in the pocket

I bet Big Ben could hurt a few DB's lowering his shoulder and laying the wood to them.

well your definition is wrong. Duel threat means you can run and pass. Pro style means you can pass but don't run very well.

So, both can run and pass... And I wasn't aware the recruiting services came out with a new category for ranking QB's.... These duel guys could be dangerous to other opponents.

Redfield, just going by quotes from Joyner himself. It was a Rivals article. Don't know how to link but someone else surely read it. Not saying they haven't spoken with him since but he did say he doesn't hear from LSU. As for the timing part and the coaches not being able to talk to him, the article was in January so unless the writer held it for a month that doesn't line up. Who knows. I just read the quotes from the kid and have seen the confidence of FSU. Lawing will make this one a battle.

Still said I think we would be fine regardless.

Mett is the definition of a 'pro style'. Could not run worth a lick. He is the exact opposite of a dual threat.
