Why? If he came here and picked Miles over Saban AFTER what happened on Monday and his prior commitment to Bama he would be the biggest hero at LSU next year!!!! You don't want a guy that is the #1 safety in the country who could screw over Saban, could help us all get over the worst single day in program history, and could restore confidence in recruits all by just saying that he was attending LSU? I would absolutley love to have him and you are crazy if you don't want him.

Absolutely! His signing would damn near be cause to hold a parade (I'm sure there's a lot of unused purple and gold confetti from Monday :ha:). Really, most people, even the originally disappointed ones, would feel inspired if Landon ultimately chooses LSU. In some ways it's a shame that we-- as fans-- make the emotional investment we do in where kids decide to go to school, but Collins is one of those kids whose commitment commands attention and whose decision feels like a swing in momentum for the program that gets him. And he's coming along at a time when both Bama and LSU are arguably the two best programs in the land. His commitment would mean a lot, and if LSU does switch him and he lives up to half his potential, he seems like the kind of player who will be remembered for a long time.
I remember some jackass LSU fan here made a fake bama twitter account sometime after the commitment trying to say shitty things about Collins to sway him against bama, but I swear people who say they don't want him (like kjanchild) are bama posters doing the same thing-- or they are truly stupid, short-sighted people who have no idea how hard it can be to make an important decision when you know your choice will end up affecting other people. I don't pretend to know anything about Collins except to say I think he really has given this choice a lot of thought. And while it has to be considered a longshot, I do hope he reconsiders.

I get the impression the kid is angry about something. When he announced his decision the guy said he was from Dutchtown. LC corrected him immediately saying he was from New Orleans. Was he snubbing Dutchtown? He did play there a few years. Maybe he thought New Orleans was farther away from BR.
