Need 27 schollies this go-round. With commit of Thomas (DE, good player)....we STILL NEED 7 SPOTS:
- Need another 4 linebackers committed (in addition to Queen)
- Wilson & Buggs (DL)
- Thomas (DB)

They are probably only taking 3 more LB and they will most likely end up with another offensive player.

That looks like the most probable class right now but who knows come signing day. We are almost gaurenteed atleast 1 decommit and someone we never heard of will probably end up in the class.

225, how sure are you on that number? I'm clueless. Honest question. Asking because of the SEC 25 rule. I know about the 85 total. I'm just not sure about back counting...... Thanks bud

NO! If a current player leaves, it frees up a spot under the 85-max limit but has nothing to do with the ANNUAL max.
I don't know what the number is for 2017. I thought it was 26 but I've heard 27.

I'm no expert on the rules or the LSU roster, but Dandy Don's site lists 25 signees in each of the last two years. However, two didn't make it in 2015 and one didn't make it this year. So, if two of this year's recruits can back-count to 2015, it seems there might be three extra spots available to get to 28.
In order to back-count, they have to enroll before NSD, in other words, in January. Smith enrolled in January, and didn't one of the receivers - Davis maybe? So, if all of that is correct, they should have room.
