Obviously he is there because the baskeball program is great. They must have offered him a spot on the basketball team, just like the case with Montgomery and UNC. They both freakish athletes if they both can start football later on and be a fierce recruit. I still thing we land Mingo. Montgomery hard to read

Why would he not want to be seen on CBS,ESPN,ABC ETC. every Saturday? I think I caught a UCONN football game once on the Hockey channel because the Hockey game was cancelled. Ice melted or some shite like that!!!

UConn is on TV almost every week too, just not as prominent a game - that said, we didn't get as many Tiger games televised this year either, and with Ole Miss getting better we will have to share the prime game slots a little more. That's not necessarily bad I would gladly give up the CBS afternoon game for a few night games in Tiger Stadium.
That being said, he's out of his freakin mind to choose Storrs over Baton Rouge.

ESPN rigs their schedule so that most UConn games are on. It's just that a lot of them are on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday nights.
As far as UConn and ESPN Tours go, Pat Summitt bitched about it because they were doing it with women's basketball recruits. I swore I read that ESPN was phasing it out because of the perceived conflict of interest. I'll have to look for it.

Willamantic is the drug capitol of Connecticut and it is just 4 miles from UCONN.
Also, I went out to the field with MINGO and I stomped out a "LSU" about 50 yards away. Problem is when I went to the hwy to snap a pic it did not come out well. So much for my cajun snow art.

I used to live in Windham; I found Willimantic very stale, except for that one eating place. Loved Three Penny Ale! The only thing I miss from CT.

They must have went to the Sports Bar on the edge of Windham and Willimantic?? It is OK...one of only five or six places the students have to go near campus.

you should go take a pic of the "Mingo" ice. pretty sure that would be a violation on UCONN's part for "personalizing" something for a prospect while on an official visit.
