MD would be a very good fit for Scott.

I wish LSU would offer him too. i think at worst he'd be a quality backup who would stay 4-5 years and maybe start the last year or even 2.

Seems like its worth a shot considering the QB issues we've had.

Look, some guys just have "it" and Scott has it, I think he winds up at LSU...as a QB

I respect your opinion, and I hear what you are consistently saying about Scott. I don't advocate for Louisiana kids just because they are Louisiana kids.

However, there is potential there. I liked what I saw in the Offense-Defense All-American Bowl in Daytona Beach, Fla. Scott made some plays happen.

I'd never seen him play before the title game and had no opinion, the kid can throw the ball and the Ehret D is essentially all D1 talent.

If Haskins craps out offer him today.

Russell Wilson, Brees, the Houston QB are all about Scott's size. To me the kid can play and we should offer.

Also, I think he could see the field at another position if qb didn't work out.

Is his height the only negative? Or am I missing something.

Scott could possibly be an outlier like those guys...but keep that in mind...outliers....big time. The number of 6' quarterbacks to the number of them that pan out big time is very, very poor. That being said, being tall doesn't make you good either. But using Drew Brees as the reason why a 6' quarterback can succeed is like using Spud Web as the reason why JJ should sign 5'6" point guards.

If he was 2-3 inches taller he would be a 4 star qb

does he have field vision at some developed level? That is my first question for ALL qb candidates.

Lets set this straight. QB depends on the type of offense. For a pro style like we run, its much better to have a QB with some height to clear over linemen. In an option offense height isn't much of a factor. In fact, I would argue that being over 6-4 in an option offense is worse than being 5-10.

6'4" guys dont see over 6'6" Lineman. No matter how tall you are, you see between passing lanes. This has been said tons of times on this board.
