Les Miles had lost a lot of respect as a coach. His reputation was really hurting LSU in terms of our ability to compete with Alabama in recruiting and of course on the field. Kids want to go play football at a college that wins championships.
I don't fault the kids for making their choice. I fault LSU for allowing the program to decline.
Coach Orgeron will rebuild the program and it will start with recruiting.

This is a bunch of B.S. sir!!! Let me ask you one question..... Does Saban coach these players or do their position coaches?? It's the position coaches who have the skins on the wall not the Head Coaches... The HC are just managers of the team. So to say LSU current staff don't have skins on the wall is absolutely ridiculous!!

This is the case with most programs - not so @ Bama.
Saban is the ultimate micromanager. He's into EVERYTHING, just ask his former assistant coaches.

So I'm a HS 5 star recruit who believes I can go the NFL, do I A. Go to the school that has won 4 Natty's in 5 years and is going to keep the coach that has got them there pretty much until he retires... or B. Go to a school who lost 4 games as a pre-season #6 and whose 2 coaching catastrophes in the last calendar year have made them the laughing stock of college football? God, decisions, decisions....

No, it's about getting on the field and proving yourself for the next level. If you are sitting behind 4 five star players at your position because you were feed a load of crap from little Nicky then your opportunity slips away! In the end championships are nice but they don't feed your family!

Yep Orgeron, Aranda, Raymond, Craig, etc have never coached any NFL players at any point in time in their careers.

Look, I think yall have mistaken me as a Bama fan or an LSU hater! I love LSU and want all the 5 stars as much as yall do, I just feel like some people can't fathom why a kid would choose Bama over the current instability of our program. And those who think it's as good as its ever been here are in lala land! 13 months ago LSU had probably the 3rd or 4th best program to offer a kid outside of Bama, Ohio St, maybe Michigan or FSU, but now after the last year of this clown show, we are lucky to be top 10 and that is the absolute truth. So when it comes to choosing between an absolute undisputed #1 and a possible top 10, well you tell me which you'd choose.

Well let's see. We have had exactly 2 de-commits from what is now still a Top 5 class. So, maybe you don't know that much about how recruiting usually works, because just holding that line as a lame duck was an accomplishment.
It won't mean anything if it falls apart from here on out, so we will see. However, losing Allen and Moses arent on him. They both fall on Miles and how he ran the program the last 5 years.

Guys we are all cheering for the same team here! But the OP bashed Marcus Randall, a friend of mine, and said it doesn't add up that these 2 studs would go to Bama. I'm simply playing devil''s advocate and letting you know there is reason for them going to Bama. If we were talking about a kid like Queen, yeah Bama would be a bad idea because he'll ride the bench for 4 years, whereas here we could turn him into a Duke Riley or Dione Jones type player. But Moses will learn a lot there as a freshman and start for 2-3 years before going to he league. Allen, similar situation. I just think they go where it safer and more stable. Guys like Tim Williams are over-rated and would never start over Ardennes Key, but because Jonathan Allen is his DT, Tim Williams looks great and will maybe be a first rounder before being as bust. He played it safe and is gonna get paid.
Btw, Marcus Randall is the coach of Southern Lab, but has less to do with recruiting and where these guys go. Corey Brimfield has a lot more to do with that and I'm friends with him too, so could say I have some first hand as to why these guys are chosing Bama over the Tigers!
