Due to the fact that Louisiana and Alabama basically have the same population, but Louisiana produces more D-1 and NFL players per captia than any other state and there is no other SEC school in the state.

Alabama produces more talent as a state. Also, Auburn is close to the border of other states.

I do agree that LSU should out-recruit Auburn but not Alabama. JMHO.

Yes but Saban is a slightly better recruiter and he also is in closer proximity to georgia and florida and has a shitton more national appeal than Miles does

Not so sure about that. Bama has had more 5 star prospects the last two years than La. That is what propelled Bama to #1 classes.

once again, your expectations are way too high. In turn you will be consistently disappointed.

How many of those players go to lower D-1 schools and grades are a huge factor. You sound like a dumb-arse to me.

We should print the NC Recruiting Champ T-shirts a year in advance.

Its a down year in the state of LA so that hurt us this year as far as instate talent goes

Auburn has almost no depth and is able to promise early playing time to recruits which is a major deciding factor for them

Alabama just came off of a NC

LSU did far better than most expected last year and Miles and Co. finished strong OOS. LSU should have the #1 class next year with all of the in state talent and a #6 rated class sandwhiched in between two potential number one classes in pretty impressive to me

That's a rediculous statement. These are all big time SEC programs. It should be noted however that LSU's star rating was almost equal to Bamas and better than Auburns. Auburn just signed more players. To pull that off in a down year in LA and a pretty good year in Alabama is down right fabulous.

one of the main reasons for 'bamas recent recruiting success is talent in state. go look at the alabama state rankings for the previous years adn they were not nearly as many upper echelon players as there have been the last 3 years. at the same LA has had down years. these things are cyclical

Other teams coaches notice that Louisiana produces good players.

See five* J McKnight on USC?

See ND's QB Claussen, 5 * from Shreveport?

There are always Louisiana guys on Nebraska.

That's why the LSU coaches have to actually recruit OOS guys.
If we depend on Louisiana, we wont be able to compete.

USC recruits nationally even though they are sitting on 20 million people in SOCAL.
See their latest recruit list. Many east coast guys to USC.
Henderson from MN.

I do not mean Spurrier USC. I mean Kiffin USC

This, and the fact that no class should be rated candidly until at least one season in.

You forget that Alabama and Auburn draw a lot of kids from GA, TN, and FL. Lot's of good football in AL and surrounding states.
