Because Williams has said if LSU offers he would most likely commit. That was during the summer.

yeah.. agreeing with most here. he said he wanted that LSU offer bad. i think its a matter of time now. or maybe his offer is conditional on how our numbers work out. only the coaches know

I think this is a good indication that Hilliard is seriously thinking about leaving so we'll lose 3 RBs in Blue, Hilliard and Hill. That or the problems with Brazil(sp?).

His dad posts on 247 so the answer should come out as to what they're offering him as

My thoughts as well. Hilliard was already gone IMO. Coaches were banking on having Magee, LF, and Sione with Brazil as a safety net. Even though the news on Sione has been positive I think the coaches are preparing for the worst case. If Brazil is cleared and Sione stays on schedule then DW can be moved to another spot.

Man, I hope that kid can get his life in order. Brazil with the ball in his hands is a threat to break a big one everytime He touches the rock.

What happened to Sione?

And I was thinking Williams would play LB or safety since Chavis is one of the listed recruiters.

I was referring to his injury. Bowtie has kept the info up to date and as of a few days ago he will be ready to go for summer workouts, but whenever there is surgery involved I would think its always a possibility he will need more time. Couple that with Brazil's uncertain future and the worst case could leave us with two healthy tailbacks for the season.

I'm just speculating, but I think DW is insurance at RB with plan A being defense.

That's likely the plan. Seeing both in person, 100% healthy Paleilei had Ray Rice potential while Williams is a good back BUT I think has better pro potential as a linebacker. He has played on defense the past couple of seasons but primarily on offense because he is an elite HS running back. We'll see.

What about Kenny Young? He has to be better than Williams for LB.

Yes because no football players ever beef up at LSU...

He's built like a safety right now. I just don't see it. Maybe in the way Hill and Ware played FB when there were guys in front of them at TB, but if he's gonna be a longterm FB then stud and ens are gonna need some pigs.

I see him at rb, but all I'm saying is I don't see him at any other position right now other than fullback if rb isn't where they want him.

Built like a safety, runs like a LB.

And 6'2 217 is the average size of our LBs for LSU. And if hes 217lbs now, he will be 225-230 after his freshman year.

He wont be playing S. IMO it all matters on LF. If we get LF, Williams moves to LB. If we dont get LF, Williams stays at RB. Hes a RB/FB/LB and will be a special teams stud.

Im pumped we offered him. Hes a football player. Nobody knows where he will end up playing, but i do know that this kid is a tough football player. And very versatile. Will be a special team stud his freshman year.
