Wow. This is upsetting.

I have seen the Qualls kid play several times. He can jump out of the gym and is a quick leaper, but needs to work on his range and ballhandling due to his size.

That's what happens when the Rant is the primary source of your information, which you then think is the opinion of the people in charge.

Your average Ranter thinks Alleva is on the verge of getting fired, but he gets a contract extension and raise. Two weeks later, the basketball coach loses a player and a couple of recruits and the AD might get fired.

Bubba you know I used to be a big Trent supporter. I'm 95% off the bandwagon

I don't think this thread has anything to do with that, but I think if losing Gathers and Derenbecker knocked you off, you weren't on to being with.

My opinion hasn't changed. Win this year or get fired.

the end of last season and then losing Dotson, Green, Derenbecker and not getting Felix or Gathers really hurt. You forget I've been banned since mid-January

couple those things with how I've heard some inside the program feel about Trent and I have no confidence in him that he can turn it around.

I guess my point is that the time for predicting, guessing, cheering for or against, being on or off the bandwagon, having or not having confidence, is over. He's either going to win this year or get fired. I think it's pretty simple. We should all just plan to enjoy (or tolerate) the season and see what happens.

We will either have a winning Trent Johnson or a new coach. Either way, we win.

Our scholarship numbers work out like this:

13 scholarships allowed.
11 currently on scholarship (With MD and GG gone)
3 seniors.

That leaves us with a minimum of 5 available scholarships, assuming no attrition (which after recent news, is not an assumption I would make).

If we give out all those schollys I wouldn't be surprised if we had some Voogd or Farrer-like recruits this year.

Hickey, Bass, Stringer
Turner, Isaac
Warren, Ludwig, Courtney
White, Hamilton, O'Bryant

Honestly, that collection of talent looks just as bad, if not worse than last year's. I agree with you that if Trent goes 8-8 in the SEC next year, he should absolutely be retained, but anything above 4-12 would be a pleasant surprise for me.

Umm, Voogd- and Farrer-like recruits are the norm for TJ, unfortunately. Seriously, half of our roster are sub-par players.

yall think there's any chance Warren goes in at the 3? I don't think he has much of an outside game... O'Bryant claims he does but I doubt it. Either way a starting line up of:

Hickey
Turner
Warren/Isaac
Hamilton
O'Bryant

is definitely better than last year

It might be better but is it good enough to be around .500 in league play?

I could see a class of Morgan, Bail, Jones and maybe Milburn or Manning.

Hey Bubba, what about Robert Upshaw? LSU needs a big man and he's listed as having an offer on scout
