That's the point of a spread option scheme, you throw almost exclusively short quick passes for the most part so arm strength is irrelevant. He could easily have run a scheme like that.

Yeah it's not like he isn't about to be a junior in high school & doesn't possess the ability to grow physically in speed & arm strength. He already has good speed & pretty good arm strength though. He does resemble Vick though in elusiveness in space where he has quick feet & a quick, flick of the wrist type release.

Can always compare him to another dual-threat lefty who was the first left handed QB in the Hall of Fame. Steve Young....big shoes to fill there though!

Dual threat USUALLY means a stud athlete that can scramble, but the arm is a distant second in his overall abilities.
This is bull.... It means a QB that has mobility along with an arm. You don't have to look far to find one. His name is Brandon Harris dual threat QB that has NFL arm, but didn't learn how to play QB in high school. Your argument is that these kids have never learned how to play QB. I believe that Franks is a dual threat quarterback also. This terms means ATHLETIC not like they are not a QB. Joe Montana, Drew Brees, and Tom Brady are pro style QB that were not suppose to have arm strength. Cam Newton, Braxton Miller, Tim Tebow, and Nick Marshall are passing QB when they had to be. All we need is someone to play QB dual threat or not.
