Good luck to the kid. He's going to a gimmick offense that has put exactly one QB in the NFL, and that was a freak in Cam Newton. Very few players in a system like that are going to succeed in the NFL.

I have been wondering that! Franks seems to be really smitten with his girl.. I've wondered how that might go.. Is she coming to LSU?

In all fairness they've only had that gimmick offense a few years. A gimmick offense that beat us 41-7 last year.

Kid is a Anthony Jennings clone.
We have a legit superstar in franks coming in and can land a QB better than this guy in a class or two.
He could do well in Gus' offense but he's not going to lead our offense with his skill set.

That's great. Wasn't worried about Franks commitment but that really makes it all the more firm.

Eh, don't sweat it dude. I don't want a recruit that doesn't want to come here. Lowell has talent for sure but him leaving isn't going to derail LSU.

Kid is not in the same stratosphere as franks and we have 2-3 years to land a QB post franks era.
I couldn't care less about this cat but it sucks this board is gonna be cluttered with all this whining and sour grape bullshite over losing this kid.

This isn't just about Auburn's offense, but Malzhan's. He's had one QB drafted from his offenses since 2006. That's 9 years, and one QB drafted because his offense doesn't really develop them into strong QBs that are looked for in the NFL.
The only one he had drafted was a freak of nature that was a RS-JR when he got into Malzahn's system.
I hope the kid does well, and he may put up stats, but if a pro QB career is his goal, Auburn isn't going to be the place to get there because he's nowhere near the type of athlete that Cam Newton is.

I like his pick, I like La kids going to programs where we can watch them develop.
Not many of these things are as tragic or beneficial as they seem. You can't decide you want to recruit nationally and be upset when local kids go down the road

Does Narcisse need to polish up his mechanics? Sure he does. But, AU just grabbed a hell of a threat on the ground.
