Holland Hall quarterback Brad Kragthorpe has verbally committed to Idaho State. Kragthorpe completed 126-of-199 passes for 1,738 yards and 28 touchdowns with only five interceptions in 2010 as he helped lead the Dutch to a 10-1 record.

Already posted this in a thread on the Coaching board, but Brad just committed to Idaho State. He's okay but nothing special.

per Glenn Guilbeau on Tiger Beat today

Miles is also scheduled to visit dual-action quarterback Jared Foster (6-1, 180) of Barbe High in Lake Charles on Monday. The unranked Foster is a grayshirt possibility, meaning he would not enroll at LSU until January of 2012 and count toward that class.

Anyone know any more about him. Louisiana Football magazine also has a good article about him LINK

Reminds me of Drew Brees. Basically same size, same drop back and throwing motion.

I heard Foster was being looked at as a walk on not a grayshirt. Some of you may know better but seriously I've seen nothing that has said grayshirt with him.We can't afford to fill 3-4 spots for next year with grayshirts from this year.Too good a class instate and Texas is more open than it has been in a while.AT Qb if he's a take on scholarship then i'd assume we would have heard about him before now in regards to coming to LSU.Do think we need 2 QBs next year though so it would make some ense but I'd rather just take 2 from next years class.I haven't seen any film of Foster though so I shouldn't judge his ability.

Guilbeaux is clueless, said a grayshirt can't enroll until January. He can enroll in September it is just on his own dime. Like Cam Fordam did this year at LSU. He also said LSU could only sign 26 of 28 because of self-imposed restrictions when actually we can only sign 23 of the normal 25 scollies due to self imposed restrictions.

Met his Dad through my work and he says Jared wants to play football....but he's a hell of a baseball player as well.

He mentioned that getting a full-ride was the main criteria but I'd have a hard time believing LSU wouldn't get him w/ some type of offer and financial assistance.

Great athlete......

You are the cluless one.

First, a grayshirt can ONLY enroll as a part-time student in the Fall. If he is full-time, even on his own dime, his 5-to-play-4 clock starts ticking from the time he enrolls, therefore he has used up his redshirt year.

Fordham was a walk-on this past season, NOT a grayshirt. He was on the team and used up his redshirt year.

As for the 26-28 thing, he is right there too, because the discussion is about how many guys we can SIGN to LOI's, not how many guys we can fund on scholarship come Fall enrollment. Without the self-imposed sanctions, we could SIGN 28, and fund 25. Now we can SIGN 26, but only fund 23.

Facts are a bitch sometimes.

Believe it or not, Barbe actually puts out more than baseball players. But I am glad this board is finally coming around on my boy Foster. Yes, he will play baseball for Barbe this spring and is pretty darned good, but he is a legit college QB. Foster and that offense put up some big time numbers against the BEST competition in LA. Evangel, West Monroe, Acadiana, etc. Foster and Quinn broke several passing records at Barbe this past season. I saw Foster's highlight video on YouTube, but it was from last year. This year's will be WAY better.
