Lindsey Scott - ZHS 2016 - QB

Midseason highlights: LINK
This young man is just a Junior and is leading his team into the Semi's in 5A this weekend at 12-1. Only loss was to C.E.Byrd by 3 pts who was #1 in the state all season. ZHS plays Acadiana this week for a chance to go to the Dome in the 5A Championship. Look for this guy to get a lot of looks if he makes it in the Dome.
His highlights are only midseason and hopefully he will get a full season update. He will get Div I looks I am sure and some commentators are starting to mention him in "top QB in LA" conversations for 2016. I think those on this board are aware of another top QB in LA 2016... Anyway, still another year to grow!
BTW, his dad was former SU QB in the 80's I think.

What's his measurables?
Posted on 12/4/14 at 6:17 pm to GetmorewithLes
Looks like a good athlete, but doesn't look 6'. ETA: Looks taller in white. Might be 6
Nothing against the kid, but Patterson is the top QB in LA for 2016, by a wide margin.

Yup.
And the stars align to sell him on our QB need.

I like Scott... But with the QBs in the state for 2016, I doubt he gets an offer.
Posted on 12/4/14 at 9:14 pm to GetmorewithLes
So why do all the QBs have to graduate in the same year
We've had to go out of state for the past 5 years before we hit Harris, and now a bunch of them will be available in 2016. That's Louisiana for ya. Looks like we will be in good hands for the next several years for QB play.
IDK about you guys, but I would really like to take 3 QBs in 2016 with two obviously being Franks and Patterson.

LINK He needs to go to some camps. His size is gonna make it hard for him to get a good offer so he needs to get as much exposer as possible

Also he says Baylor is his "dream school"

5'11" I see him playing RB at that next level.

I know that but he is one to watch next year. What I don't understand is the numbers he has put up should generate some offers and he has none according to 24/7. Prbably not getting one from LSU but other SEC schools might have an interest.
BTW: last year as a soph his school played Parkway in the playoffs and he hung with Brandon Harris for about three quarters in an exciting game.

Saw him last night. Good arm with zip on his balls. Unfortunately, he is about 3" too small. Reminded me a little of Keenan Fontenot of Barbe the way he made people miss and kept plays alive.

Be great for a ULL or SLU.

Fans are one thing Facts or another. We miss, cause we think measurable translate to success. Kid will play D-I @ QB (SEC or not). For him, it doesnt matter.
- Plays with a chip on his shoulder.
- 5'11 202 lbs
- 16 years old (birthday in June)
- 2014 Allstate 5A Offensive MVP - All Metro MVP - 4 5A all district MVP theadvocate.com
- one of only 3 Baton Rouge area 5A MVPs in the history of 5A(Travis Minor and Will Brisco)
- Led 5A in total yards Maxpreps
- 19-4 as starter (23-5 overall) split time 1st half of Sophomore year.
- Ivy league caliber grades
- High football IQ. checkout his https://www.hudl.com/athlete/1552093/highlights/86101376.
- Herb Tyler 5'11" - 6'0" 203 lbs - 5th LSU all time passing yards - 3rd in TD passes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LSU_Tigers_football_statistical_leaders#Passing_Yards
- Ahead of Herb Tyler are Tommy Hodson, Jeff Wickersham, JaMarcus Russell
Did a search on google for "Lindsey Scott". Found this tweet from "lindsey scott".
Pointing out that though Russell Wilson threw for w/ 4000 yds 42 TD, and a state title in 2006, he was Offered only by Duke & NCState
Scott had 3200+ total yards and 39 TDs this season. All I can say is, "keep sleeping". We will be talking about this kid on Sunday, and "what ifs".

This is kinda what I have been saying all along. I am not sure why he is not garnering more attention from recruiters.

The offers will come.
Remember, College sidelines are filled with 6'3" and up guys who will never play, never make an impact. Its the nature of the beast that recruiters are wrong more often than right. College rosters will typically have 5-6 QBs on them. How many actually play? All usually prototypical.
The Highest ranked QB for Class of 2015 (Espn 300) is Kyler Murray 5'11 178 (Committed to Texas A&M)
Its going to be interesting though. I'd like to seem him anywhere QBs are developed for the next level.

Will be a WR in college has no shot at QB

You sound like one those guys that said Russell Wilson would be a Safety in College. Its talk like that makes it all so sweeeetttt!!!!
Nothing like saying "I told you so". Not only will he play QB, but he's going to win where ever he goes. People don't understand, thats what make you a QB.
