If we lose Scott to Tulane, LSU recruiters need to kick themselves:

SPORTSNOLA

I don't really care what type of QB he is; he's a proven winner.

Is Kyler Murray a fair comparison?

Thanks

True or false: Lindsey Scott is a 5 star if he was 6'3?

Scott is much thicker than Murray.

Sorry but I don't buy it. I stood next to him (I'm 6'3") after a playoff game this year, and u didn't even think he was 5'11" in cleats.

Bottom line is, he's a 3-star for many other reasons besides just his height.

Dude has elite athleticism, is explosive, runs away from people and shite, and has a live arm for his size. None of that is 3 stars. His height is his only detriment and as talented as this kid is that is no damn problem imo. Glad LSU woke the frick up and offered him or somebody(Syracuse) would have had a steal.

Tulane is actually more of a threat to LSU than Cuse at this point

I really hate the notion that a good qb has to be 6'2+ and about 220-230. It's a very archaic way to look at things. Especially in college where things can break down and fall apart very quickly. NFL is a pocket game and college is all across the place. But yet players like Drew and Russell Wilson have had success while being undersized. Of course they are a rare case but these are guys at the elite level.

In college I'd rather take a qb who can stand in the pocket and make passed but if need be be can roll out extend the play. A solid pocket passer without good wheels is handcuffed to one major skill set. Getting the ball out his hand. If no one is open he's screwed.

Of course if it comes down to having to depend on the clutch play passing I'd rather have the pocket qb but it's not like Scott is a bad passer. The pros just outweigh the cons imo. In short, I hate when guys are completely over looked because they are too "short."

While his height is a concern, I like the offer because Scott is a good player and because it's not like LSU is in a position to be picky right now. I think the bigger question is whether Miles and Cameron will actually put him in a scheme that doesn't require him to do things he physically can't do.

I'm not disputing any of what you said; I'm just saying the Narcisse is superior in all categories you mentioned. The reason Scott has 3 stars is because when it comes to similar comparable skills vs. other QBs, his levels are at a 3-star level. Height is just one of them.
