I like how he's supposed to go recruit Patterson since they'll never play together

Probably 1 of 300 D1 recruits are in college shape when they first hit campus. So I expect that 291 to trim down....

Have you seen liggins? Obviously you have. He doesn't have THAT much fat on him.

Why do you automatically assume that he won't be able to play qb at this level?

Is there a reason for your prejudice?

Btw I assume you understand the meaning of the word prejudice.

I'm honestly curious as to why you would assume he can't cut it.

i'm going to start this conversation off with his bad throwing mechanics. if they want him to be a QB, they need to overhaul them

typically these jumbo QBs have cannons also, and his arm doesn't look elite

i think he'll be a TE if QB doesn't work out

I think he has the size and quickness to play DE.

It would be a hell of a project, though.

Ignore all recruiting rumor. Telling you man, it's poison.

That is a given I think.

I think JJ could have developed differently if he were under.Krags his entire college career.

I think Krags is here to stay for a minimum of Liggins collegiate career.

I think.we have the right guy to fix a mechanics problem, especially when it doesn't look like Liggins would NEED to start for several years, barring injury.

That's an awfully long time to develop.

We had spots open and was probably one of the better athletes we could haul in at this point. Not ideal taking "projects" but has a higher ceiling at other positions if he's open to it.

I don't expect him at QB but hey I've been wrong before

Yeah, that Auburn team really sucks. They haven't won a championship since 2010 and only have like 3 Heisman winners.

Problem with this is that he was at the top of the board for most of the year and was recruited even while Kiel was commited. The staff has wanted him all along. He's not a fallback guy. He was THE qb at our camp this summer. I understand the rest of your point but the coaches obviously see something in him at QB. I happen to agree with them but really no harm in taking a guy with the athleticism to play multiple spots.

This is a great pick up, great.

What the hell is our QB position going to look like the next few years?

12-Met
13-Met
14-Randal/Rivers/Liggins
15-Randal/Rivers/Liggins
16-Liggins

And your thoughts on Rivers and his throwing motion? And what other position you have designated for him?

Our staff didn't know how to use the #1 dual threat QB in the country, I damn sure don't have confidence they know how to use a 3 star dual threat QB

Has less to do with his size than it does how well he throws the ball.

The tape on him throwing is pretty sparse, for one.

Secondly, most of his tosses are pretty soft... lobs for jump balls, or dumps for screens. There are a couple of shots of slants that he throws and he looks to show a little arm strength there.

I really have no prejudice with his size and fully expect that his body will be overhauled if he's willing to put in the work.
