Need this guy to replace tre white. I know we will return a lot of corners but I think smith and Fulton get a ton of pt next year.

He's having a great season. Didn't he also have double digit INTs last season?

He's as close to an LSU lock as there is.

Fulton is an amazing athlete. His top end speed and coverage skills have made him on of the most highly sought after recruits in the area. However, i have watched Rummel fairly close this year and noticed that he is the second maybe even third at times best/most valued player on the Raider defense. #7 on the Dline and #9 in the secondary consistently out perform him week by week. In fact, #9 for the Rummel secondary made the play of the night tonight by eliminating the Bro Martin #9 player for the entire 3rd and 4th quarter...I guess i just dont understand the the massive amount of love #1 gets when there are several other players on Rummel who seem to be better at least via the eye test..Is his prowess based on speed and ceiling?

Bro, that is the nature of the position. If you are locking your guy down and the QB chooses to throw to the other side the whole game, of course nothing will be happening on his side. But if you understand what is going on, you understand why some QB's do that. Often the best DB's can go most of the game with very little action their way. Watch the NFL today.

Briston Guidry (#7) and Derrick Munson (#9) on Rummel are both respected prospects with Guidry being committed to Arkansas and Munson having an offer from Arkansas. As for the rankings and attention I would have to remind you that rankings are based on much more than just one game or even one season. Fulton's resume goes back a few years now (He was the only junior to make the USA Today All-USA team last year) and I'm sure he's also participated in the summer 7 on 7 circuit and excelled their as well. Consistency and proving the ability to compete against top competition (through primetime games, camps, and 7 on 7) play a large impact in rankings and number of offers.

Why doesn't he have a LSU offer?

He got a very very early offer but we havent recruited him at all since all the attention we're getting from the national prospects (Gary, Manuel) on top of Lawrence in-state.

...and Glen Logan. That big commit needs some love too.

Because he's shown out at every camp he's been to on top of dominating high school competition. That combined with the fact that he's young for a senior in high school (he's either 16 or just turned 17) means his best football is still ahead of him.
