DT is an embarrassment of riches on the LSU radar this season.

With Alexander, Lawrence and Oliver, it becomes a real challenge to look into Jones. That being said, the kid has the athletic ability to play the 3-4 NG or the 4-3 DT. A very rare talent for a guy his size.

I think you do in the event Gilmore and Herron still don't produce after 3 seasons. Plus that could change depending on how many spots LSU has left and who fills those spots.

If LSU's young interior is developing like we're anticipating it to under O, then I don't think it is a big deal not taking him. Isn't he a pretty big Texas lean anyways?

If Herron is moved outside then our depth at DT is low. Gilmore and Trey L, will be the only non freshman backups next year (I won't waste my time projecting Valentine to be able to contribute).

I'd say yes, but I highly doubt that happening.

Personal opinion: If he wants in, we should take him. He's the type of special player that you don't pass on just because of numbers.

He is a huge guy. Enormous. Not sure we can make room for him. Might be to tight of a squeeze. 360 Already!!!

Agree. He's huge, but it's not dead weight. Watch his drills from the past few months. Big fella gets off the ball quick and mean.

Gilmore is going to get plenty of playing time this year. He's not going anywhere.

Yes for a couple of reasons. One, his potential is too high to pass up. If he works hard to develop and gets the right coaching he's a first rounder. Two, he's versatile enough and has that mindset that would allow him to flip to OL if needed or its the better fit. I'm admittedly not a huge fan of his current game but the kid is a stud talent

Absolutely he is a take, especially with Oliver headed to Houston.

The day when we turn away 5 star DTs because we don't have room is the day the SEC is both literally and figuratively fricked
