Found a recent highlight video of him. Definitely looks better than his recruiting rankings. His major drawback is size, but he has a live arm for sure. He could keep his release higher, it doesn't look like a hard fix. Keeps his shoulders square and footwork looks technically sound.

Obviously not many think he'll make an impact right away. But I expect him to make an impact at one point or another. Looking forward to see how he looks this spring.

Dude is an Athelete! It's obvious he's got football smarts. Looks like JFF looked in HS, scrambling 3 star with big play potential,

Poor music choice on that video though

Some piss poor editing on that video. Anyway, he throws a tight spiral. I like his arm strength too.

I don't think his film looks much like JFF. The 2 most comparable players to JFF I've seen are Kyler Murray and Shea Patterson. However, I'm impressed with McMillan. He throws a good ball and can move when he needs to. He's bigger than most believe weighing over 180 and probably close to 6'2".

And someone on here yesterday was arguing Patterson is a pro style. No film that resembles JFF in any way can be considered pro style. They're polar opposites.

McMillan's skill set reminds me of Blake Sims

The definition of pro style and dual threat is pretty asinine. Shea is a lot like JFF. Size, quickness, accuracy on the run.

McMillan is a guy that wins and gets it done. He can be very good for us. He will work his arse off and put some pressure on the older guys if they slack. Some are seeing him as an afterthought, but he's the only scholly guy in the class and will get a spring in as well. That's a big advantage.

The play at 2:36 was really good. He definitely has decent feet for a QB...

He's also a winner who's played against some of the toughest competition in the country. Being left handed is also an advantage. Not many players have gone against a left handed QB. This kid is a competitor and he's already on campus competing.

Hopefully, Justin will wind up being the biggest surprise of this recruiting class.

His effort & enthusiasm should help at least make things a bit more competitive for Harris and Jennings.

We need intense competition at the QB position. With Tyron Johnson, Derrius Guice, and our 3 starting olinemen back our offense has the potential to be great. Sadly, the most important position has been lacking. This year could be different. You have to think Harris and jennings will both improve. I would love to see this kid come in and light a fire under Harris and Jennings. Heck, I would love to see anybody make those guys better lol.

We really do need intense competition at the position.

That video is horrendous. For about two thirds of the plays you can't see shite.

He's clearly a major talent when he's running. In the entire video there was only one pass that showed arm talent. It was about a ten yard out at the 2:40 mark. He looked like he had zip. Other than that it was Russell Shepard.

Compare this video to that New Mexico kid everyone was posting about. That kid had exactly zero throws that evidenced a major college arm. These forty yard rainbows impress message board jockeys, but they are high school stuff.

Maybe some of the other plays in that Mcmillan video were great throws, but the video was too poor to tell. At least he had one throw with pop. That means he can do it when he's a skinny high school kid. Maybe when he fills out he'll throw like David Rivers.

I think he looks like Nick Marshall. He would be awesome in the spread offense for sure.

He is from Cedar Hill HS, which is a perennial powerhouse 5A high school in DFW area.

Have a feeling this guy is coming in a bit underrated with a chip on his shoulder, which is good.

Ready for the Harris-era, and any QB competition from REAL talent will just bring out the best in all of them...hyped for the state of affairs at the QB position lately!

Agree and IMO they shouldn't be separate categories. Rank them as QBs, all of them.

That said, there has to be better comparisons for Shea than Manziel. Manziels entire game was based on his feet. Pocket passer he is not.

Kyler Murray is a good one because Murray can actually hurt you from the pocket because he's such a good passer. Shea appears to be as well but he isn't Kyler Murray. That kid is rare and special. Just happens to be 5'10ish. The one made the other day to Aaron Murray is probably the best I've seen. Dead on and about the ceiling
