Good for the kid, and nothing against him, but why waste a scholarship on a long snapper? There are thousands of kids all over the country who aren't quite good enough to play D-1 football at their given position, but would gladly be a LS if it gave them the opportunity to be a member of a big time college football team

Do you think long snapping is so easy that anyone can do it? It's not.

How many bad snaps have you seen from the Ferguson brothers?

I would argue that every year we get excited about a commitment who either never plays or plays sparingly. If this kid plays for 4 years and rarely has a bad snap, he can be an integral part to us scoring FG, PATs, and playing the field position battle.

Would that constitute "wasting a scholarship"?

Amen. LSU brings in the best in the business. No errors in years on the snapper. Damn sure worth a scholly every four years.
