Hasn't Tremaine Johnson been on and off the Vikings roster the last 2 years?

What sticks out here is the fact that Chavis was tenn's Dc during this.

How could anyone forget about Marquise Hill?

He would still be starting if it wasn't for the accident. May he RIP.

"still be starting"

no offense intended to Hill or his legacy, but he never started for the Patriots. In fact he rarely played in the 3-4 years in the NFL.

Because 1999 or 2001 doesn't really affect kids who are just turning 18.

But 2004-2011 does because its what they know.

You brought up 2009 because LSU didn't have a 1st rounder last year trying to set UT apart from LSU, fact is LSU has been pumping out more 1st round talent drafted in a bigger pay day #s over the last 6 years.

I was apologizing for us breaking the streak we had going.

Yet you still list Haynesworth as a "starter" when he is 2x All Pro.

Good point, he shouldn't even be listed as a starter anymore.

Was Haynesworth a probowler? That's the only "accolade" I listed.

Any player who was a starter for the majority of their NFL career and/or played at level for them to be considered as such I labeled as a "starter". Haynesworth was one of the few players listed who is currently dealing with extenuating circumstances which are preventing him from presently playing at the level in which he was coached up to play at and/or whose talent allows.

Acting like Tennessee is not a pro factory because of the last couple of years......

Who? If anything my OP bolsters the thought that UT (the "darkhorse" in the race for Jernigan's services) stands a chance. The Vols have an excellent history of putting defensive linemen in the NFL.

Was going to state the same thing, he was considered a bust when he passed.

He's been on the practice squad for the past two years and was signed again to the practice squad at the end of last season. He'll make the roster this year.

I don 't think there is enough difference in those #'s to be the reason a recruit chooses one over the other.

Bonstonker, you need to do a video for the new recruits coming in. All of your stuff is superb and would be awesome to see you do something like that

I'll second that. Love Bonstonker's work...can't get enough.

Melvin Oliver was a 6th Round Draft Pick who was with the 49ers until 2007.

Claude Wroten was 3rd Rounder who was with the Rams until 2007 and is now in the UFL.

Booger McFarland was a 1st Rounder that was good for Tampa Bay, now I think he's on the practice squad with the Colts or something.

I was surprised at the lackluster reality of LSU D-linemen, especially compared to UT and FSU, but I suppose their programs have experienced stability for a much longer time than LSU's.

How do you figure that. For the past eleven seasons LSU has been a much better program than either of them. FSU historically was not a great program until Bowden took them over. They are not even in the 25 winningest programs of all time. UT I believe is 9th and LSU is 12th. The Tigers have more NFL calibre talent, including the Dlinemen, than either of those programs at present also. One of the few things the media has given credit to LSU for over the past decade is the moniker, "D-line U". It's accurate enough.

Claude Wroten? he was drafted 3rd round to the Rams. He is still NFL caliber player, he is just suspended from the NFL for violating the substance abuse policy repeatedly
