Wish LSU could have gotten him. At first LSU had a good case to get him. Oh well.

It helped but this deal was already sealed. The promise to play wr was the selling point(even though Bama has a lot to offer otherwise as well). He'll end up at cb but Saban promised him the chance to play wr if he wants.

WOW! Saban will continue to kill us at DB. But it hurts me to see Robby Green become a star after we let him out of the state. I dont think we eval DB's really well here at LSU. Since Corey Webster and Travis Daniels we have only had a few studs. Mostly Patrick Peterson and Chad Jones.

Johnathon Zenon and Chavis Jackson were b players. Neither high draft picks.

We are not struggling at all at DB. It has been one of the strong suits of the team.

Steltz was pretty damn good too. I'll take a B defensive backfield with championship rings any day btw. but i dont think DB has been our weakness, especially the last few years.

We might be struggling after this year...CB is very thin. We need CB recruits bad...

I wouldn't worry too much about our DB evaluation. The Morris Claiborne gem is a pretty good case in point of how well we can pick them.

How has he become a star?

He might be a little bit more of a star than me and I don't play football.

And he's out for the season on top of it.

Good post Capstone.I hadn't seen that qoute yet.I was going off the qoute from his last visit when he said that Saban said that he could play anywhere he wanted and that he preferred wr.Better potential at cb and Bama is the best place to go to play cb.
