From Scarborough, he’s noting LSU is looking good with Mathew’s and Perkins, should know in 7-8 days on most players. Also Fla’s Napier and Raymond are trying to make a move in LA. And after starting off slow and getting his footing, Kelly is now moving at light speed with really great hires in recruiting and it appears his staff is well managed. Exciting times for LSU football.

Being that signing day is 8 days away I would think we would definitely know.

Maybe Napier should work on getting the top Florida players from going to Texas A&M, Georgia, and Alabama before worrying about Louisiana recruits.

Out of the top 10 players in Florida, UF had 1 of them.

Hopefully the Napier garbage all ends soon.

Because he knows what everyone else knows about guys from Louisiana. The way of life and how most kids grow up in this state breeds kids with football mentalities. ESPECIALLY in the southern part of the state. We have a level of pride that most places don't have. It's why 15+ years after Katrina, ppl still expect kids who've lived in other states 95% of their lives to come to LSU. It's why kids commit to other schools and still throw up the L when they make a big play or after a big win. It's why the griddy is everywhere. Most guys from LA who were afterthoughts in their own circles are APLHAS the second they step into a different environment. Guys from other states follow Louisiana guys without question. Just go back to LSU vs UM when the fight happened. That was basically the best of La vs the best of Fla. and we won the fight and the football game.

I feel like Napier’s fixation on LA makes him look like a scorned lover. He’s trying to send a message all the while not focusing on moving forward in his own state. We will see how it plays out, but seems stupid on his part.

He is actually doing both. Napier is smart and is using his connections here to recruit.

Any good coach would do the same thing.

Louisana has more poor hopeless kids than Florida per capita, but the poor rural areas in FL produce NFL Hall of famers too like Ricky Jackson etc

I just don't know about FU. They hired the head hick in Mississippi and it was a disaster. So they fire him and hire the coach from USL? That's gonna end well.... lmao

Napier putting all his effort swinging and missing on Louisiana players is going to bite him. The best of the SEC already picks apart Florida and now with Mario at Miami he has more competition down there.

It’s like he has an axe to grind against LSU or all he knows is Louisiana and nothing else. Either way, it will be why he gets fired before he ever gets that program off the ground. Needs to get his priorities straight.

Exactly. He hired all these recruiters that know Louisiana. He needs to focus first on Florida or he won't last long there.

I don’t think he will be going after Louisiana as hard in the future.

He has a relationship with this class and likely the class under it. He would be stupid not to try to get the kids he built a relationship with while at UL.

I don’t think he will have any success getting Louisiana recruits.
