Hamm just talked to mom. He thinks she knows it's A&M and that she'll try to talk him out of it.

Hopefully our full court press and that by his family helps us. He would thrive in either offense. I just hope he does that closer to his family and friends and for his home state. Best of luck to him

She's said she's going to be in Orlando to have one last talk with him, before she wants him to announce. As she is openly pro-LSU, it isn't unlikely that she's heard he wants A&M, and she's trying to convince him to change his mind. I don't find Hamm to be a liar, but the whole thing has been very strange, and don't discount this last bit of anti-anywhere but LSU surge he will be feeling. Speedy's mom could guilt him in to a false sense of buyer's remorse. Who knows?

Or maybe the whole thing is Speedy trying to mess with people. I still enjoy Hamm's input, and I don't think he lied when he transcribed that whole conversation with Speedy's mother he just had. I appreciate all perspectives and especially first hand accounts from mothers...

With LSU aware of needing to keep up the press, with LSU commits and leans continuing to recruit him, and with his family pushing him to stay home, honestly kudos to Sumlin and staff if they land him. It would be a grand coupe and he would earn a big chunk of his check on that effort alone

It's going to happen at some point. A&M is going to get a kid LSU highly covets out of their back yard. Sumlin is too good of a recruiter for it not to happen. I would be ecstatic if it's Speedy, but if it isn't, I feel pretty confident it is going to happen at some point.

Like I said in the post, I don't believe Hamm fabricated a conversation with Speedy's mother, and that conversation that was transcribed 30 minutes ago was legitimate. I don't see why Hamm would do something that would cost him job, but that's just my opinon.

Take a few steps back and realize something

You just lost your best Louisiana recruiter, did you not ?

And we have Frank Wilson. Chew on that

So that whole " we gonna get one dem Loooseeanna boys talk"... Pretty cheap bro

Also. Like I said before, you'd stand a better chance winning a division championship ... Hell, y'all haven't even made the Capitol one bowl( sec #3) or a BCS bowl since joining our conference

I don't know what specifically that's responding to, but winning the SEC West would be nice. The last four years winning the division has meant winning the national title. Auburn has a chance to make that five.

Since we've join the SEC we've had arguably the same, if not more success than LSU, as we've had a higher overall standing in the final polls one year. But why is flaming A&M your mission here?

I see I made a mistake in my assertions. I wonder how that happened.

Just responding to your assumed confidence in a coach's recruiting ability who hasn't won a division championship

Or pulled a guy to A&m with a lsu offer from Louisiana

Or even gotten a guy to visit officially that lives in Texas ..tony brown
