LSU fans who constantly bring up Saban or Alabama constantly are no different than non-LSU fans who each year predict the decline of LSU under Les Miles. It just comes off as petty and hacky.

21 million is chump change to the Longhorns

said that about LSU, and Miami, and etc... Dudes a total self-absorbed, pompous, hypocritical, short-man syndromed, gloryified West Virginia Hill billie.

If Saban didn't leave last year with all those NFL jobs he won't ever leave Bama. Bama may not have the money, resources, proximity of talent compared to Texas, but Saban owns the SEC and all of college football. Why would he leave that for a rebuild? I think he learned his lesson from leaving LSU. He took the Bama job to redeem himself after an NFL failure. What's his motivation to rebuild Texas? And there's no way Bama has a drop off. Maybe they don't win the NC every year, but they are THE program in CFB.

Texas is a better job, and it's not even close.

Any team that wins 3-4 championships, and constantly has their coach called the best in the country, is gonna become popular. Winning breeds popularity, just ask all the Cowboys and Lakers fans that were born in the 70s/80s.

This is all about gouging the Hee Haws from Alabama for more money.
1. Sexton is simply doing what he is paid to do, max out the opportunities with his clients' contracts.
2. Look at the timing of the release of this information (this meeting happened 9 mos before):
A. AL has cleared what they considered was one of the biggest hurdles for getting another MNC by beating TAMU. And they know the $$$$ from economic impact of another MNC and are willing to deal.
B. UT is doing poorly and are ready to make a run at top-tier coaches for whatever price, even though they have no shot at Saban.
3. Saban has no intention of going anywhere, he's just letting his agent do his job.

.. Yo , "Bama has as much "football money" as anyone on the planet .. Tide cannot be "outbid" in a salary war if its someone they want to keep .... unless , say , Texas bids $15-20 milion a year or something totally insane ... don't see that happening . Why ? Because it would be totally insane ...

Why would Saban leave a better job for Texas.

I think the big question here is ...Where does Nicky's wife want to live? Tuscaloosa or Austin? I think Saban's life will be pretty much the same in either place (as he works constantly). He might have a little less recruiting travel in Texas.

wishful thinking, but none

It's pretty much a given that all of Bama's top 4-5 star recruits will immediately try to sign with LSU.
The rest would just be sheer speculation.

15-20 Mil is insane for a college coach, but do you put it past Jerry Jones who openly wants to win championships in a hurry and will do anything to get another one before he dies. He has billions 15 Mil a year to Saban? If there is a team out there that would fork out that kinda money it would be Dallas with Jerry Jones. Nick loves money and Dallas isn't completely depleted of talent like Miami was. I think he goes if offered by Jones with that sum of money. Yea things are nice in Tuscaloosa, but he can fly back and forth everyday if he wants getting paid 15 mil. lol

You never really truly know, but it's pretty unlikely he's leaving. Saban was in his mid to late 40's when he started at LSU.
He's 61 now. As hard (impossible?) as it would seem that someone would like living in the the middle of Alabama, it seems Ms. Saban enjoys it there, and in general they've bonded more with the community in the wake of the tornado.
Still, Saban's agent makes more money when Saban makes more money, so you can bet they're going to be listening when team Austin makes a godfather offer.
