Using 247 Composite. Number in parenthesis is their position ranking nationally, followed by their star rating.
LB and DB are elite, which is obvious. I think a very underrated OL haul as well though.
QB: Myles Brennan (#6 PS), Lowell Narcisse (#9 DT) – 4*
RB: Clyde Edwards-Helaire (#5 APB) – 3*
FB: Tory Carter (#3) – 3*
OT: Austin Deculus (#10) – 4*
OG: Saahdiq Charles (#19) - 4*
C: -------------------------
OG: Edward Ingram (#13) – 4*
OT: Seth Stewart (#70) – 3*
WR: Manny Netherly (#38) – 4*
WR: Racey McMath (#89) – 3*
WR: -------------------------
TE: -------------------------
DE: Neil Farrell (#26 DT) – 3* (Aaron Moffitt (#39) – 3*)
DT: Tyler Shlevin (#4) – 4*
DE: Justin Thomas (#19) – 3*
OLB: K’Lavon Chaisson (#4 DE) – 4* (criminally underrated in composite)
ILB: Tyler Taylor (#11) – 4*
ILB: Jacob Phillips (#1) – 4*
OLB: Patrick Queen (#16 ATH) – 4*
CB: Kary Vincent (#12) – 4*
S: Grant Delpit (#9) – 4*
S: Jacoby Stevens (#1) – 5*
CB: Jontre Kirklin (#49 ATH) – 3*
NB: Todd Harris (#11 S) – 4*

Neil Farrell Will be playing Defensive End in our defense and Jontre Kirlklin should be starter opposite Vincent with Harris playing Nickel/Run support

Will change Farrell, but I wasn't sure on Kirklin. Will change too.

Again, we have great talent.
I just looked at the highlights for Queen as running back & he is a very good. Would like to him in spot duty as RB.
Posted on 2/2/17 at 9:40 am to Jmwtigre
Only way queen moves to RB is if we can't get recruiting going for that in 2018. We have just as much a need in his OLB position as we do in RB

Thanks for putting that together, it's interesting to see..
I'd be interested to see where that compares to other school's classes. Maybe, at least the top 10-15 classes to compare against, just for sake of conversation and see where we stack up.

You're right, I didn't need to see that.
Must be nice with the embarrassment of riches they have.
Thanks for putting all of that together, even getting the Bama one.

They managed to field an entire starting football squad

Why do you think no one wants to be a head coach in the SEC? And before you all pffft that statement, look at the recent hires. And look at the hot commodities like Herman and Fleck who ran to the Big XII and B1G.
Right now it is Bama and everyone else. We are close on talent but not there. So we need Aranda and Canada to have the game plan of their lives and we need our players to play above their heads - one team, one heartbeat.
Ironically, I think losing big headed, attention whore recruits to Bama is helpful in this regard.

If, theoretically, all of Bama's class qualified and weren't processed, that would be a top 10 team. Just that recruiting class.
That is so fricking absurd.

The good news is that most of these kids won't see consistant playing time for 3-4 years.

Lol are you being serious?? how short sighted, we were literally One play from beating them the last 3x's we played in Death Valley with a silly Les Miles gameplan, we send talent to the NFL at the same pace, play above out heads nah we just needed an OC to not squander our talent, which we now have.

Looks like a roster for IMG University.

I made the following list a few days ago:
For below Depth Chart- using upcoming relevant Juniors and 2016 & 2017 LSU Football Recruits
Example as starters for 2017 & 2018 season
2017 Starters / Backups
DE- Glen Logan (RSF) 6'4" 300 Justin Thomas (TR), Aaron Moffit (TF)
NG- Ed Alexander (So) 6'2" 340 Tyler Shelvin (TF), Neil Farrell (TF)
DE- Rashard Lawrence (So) 6'4" 315 Neil Farrell (TF)
OLB- Arden Key (Jr) 6'6" 250 Rahssan Thorton (So), Sci Martin (RSF),
ILB- Devin White (So) 6'1" 245 Tyler Taylor (TF), Patrick Queen (TF)
ILB- Jacob Phillips (TF) 6'1" 235 Michael Divinity (So), Layton Garnett (RSF)
OLB- K'Loven Chaisson (TF) 6'5" 220 Andre Anthony (TF)
CB- Kristian Fulton (So) 6'0" 190 Greedy Williams (RSF),
S- Eric Monroe (RSF) 6'1" 195 Cam Lewis (So), Xavier Lewis (RSSo)
SS- Jacoby Stevens (TF) Grant Delpit (TF), Todd Harris (TF)
CB- Saivion Smith (So) 6'1" 188 Kary Vincent (TF)
DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS:
Do you realize the talent in these last 2 classes, assuming we get the ones I have already penciled in as starters like Chaisson and if Logan starts? If those guys are the starters, we ONLY lose Arden Key if he comes out for the draft!! We have 2-4 years with all of the above talent. Now, I have one guy from below starting and that is Sr. John Battle. So if Key leaves after 2017 then we gain 9 starters back with all of those quality backups. Defense wins championships, so 2018 or 2019 are our years to win the Natty (or Both)
Upperclassmen that may start or solid backups
S- John Battle (Sr) He starts where I have Eric Monroe (Solid Player)
LB- Donnie Alexander (Sr) I think Phillips will beat him out, more physical and quicker
DE- Frank Herron 6'4" 295 (Sr) I think Lawrence or Logan or Farrell beats him out but he is a good backup for 2017
NG/DE- Greg Gilmore (Sr) 6'4" 315 and Lacouture 6'5" 310 (Sr) they get beat out by the young guns, but a great leader and awesome backup. We also have Deandre Clark 6'4" 260 at DE who is a solid backup
CB/S- Ed Paris (Sr) He plays backup to nickel or Safety
We have awesome DB for the class of 2018 like Kelvin Joseph, Nadab Joseph , Caden Sterns and Patrick Surtain Jr. is looking good for us. Our DB are stacked until 2020. If we get these LB our LB and DL will be also fine for 3-4 years because we will keep getting solid DL and LB with Coach O and Aranda.
I had to edit my own list because we lost Wilson...dam! I made this list a few days ago before NSD

Not when you can't score a single point. I think the biggest advantage Bama has over LSU, and a very significant one, is the O-line recruiting and units fielded. Our D-line can go up against their O-line man for man and match up well. Elite talent both ways. Our O-line can't go against their D-line man for man and match up well. Elite talent one way

Sorry Buddy but you don't even have Donte Jackson or Kevin Tolliver in here at all. There is no way we have 5 freshman starting (Red shirt and True)
Frank Herron has a DE spot, Battle solidified his safety spot I thought he did great last year and Donnie will be the next Duke Riley and Chaisson on the other side of Key will be situational, for the most part that OLB spot will be played by a player closer to the skills of an ILB.
The take home here though is the DEPTH that we now have on Defense is insane and we will have fresh legs all the time.
