How many can we take in 2018?

Had 4 spots left this year. So is the number 29?

Typically, teams can take whatever bama takes - divided by two

It's a good bet that we can take up to 27.

Coach O said yesterday in his presser that we may still add a few more. Possibly JUCO. So, at this point, it's hard to know where we will be at come next year. It's going to depend on how many scholly's we have open. And that's also going to depend on how many juniors stay or leave. But, yes, it's a good bet that we will be able to take the max, which us 27. Unless you're Alabama, apparently. They always find ways around the rules. What happened yesterday really pissed me off.

Assuming 27 was the true correct max number this year and there are no other signings:
25 + 4 = 29
4 is 2 under this year + 2 under the year before that was filled by EEs,
We would also need at least 4 EEs next year to get the 4 in.
This is the max we could sign. If the 85 comes into play, then the coaches would have to decide whether they want to "process" current players to make room. Scholarships are only guaranteed for 1 year, so it's Orgeron's choice.

Pisses me off as well. The shite that is going on at Alabama needs to be stopped, period but no one in the NCAA has the fricking balls to do it! Getting a top 100 player to grayshirt, really?
Look I know the whole Saban, yadda yadda yadda crap! Spare me, they are fricking cheating so bad over there it isn't even funny. Would be so great to see the hammer dropped on them, but it will never happen!

I mean really! Look I know all schools cheat okay. Not disputing that, but what is going on at Alabama takes it to a completely different level! It doesn't take a rock scientist to see what is going on.
Especially in this age of college football to have one team that is so dominate and has been so for 7 years? Give me a break!

Or maybe we should start doing what all of you claim Bama does. I have no doubt Bama does some shady stuff but their track record tells me we need to follow suit. NCAA isn't gonna do anytjing to anyone. Look how long the OM thing is taking. Should have been done and over with but they have no real power anymore. Our own compliance is more worrisome than the ncaa

29. Cancount 2 back to 2016 out of this class making 21 for 2017. So can count 4 back to 2017 in 2018. Will have to process to get down. To 85
