This is what I believe as well. Not sure what Stud's contribution is anymore. He doesn't seem to be able to recruit the best of the best in state offensive lineman and almost seems like North Louisiana is returning to the 70's when not many came to LSU. Maybe just my perception and could be wrong.

Almost as much as she loves all the death threats Bama players get after they lose a game.

This, why congratulate a kid on going to our rival? They are now a member or our biggest rival and I don't wish them or Alabama any success. I don't wish them injury, but I sure would enjoy it if they make a mistake that cost bama a game and I get to watch saban screaming at them as they come back to the sideline. You are either a Tiger or Tigerbait! If you're a gump, that doesn't change just because you are from LA.

It's not perception

Stud can't recruit North LA kids to save his frickin life

no excuse for losing Hootie IMO. He should have been a Tiger. Someone dropped the ball.

Seems like he can't recruit anyone from the Monroe area. Look at the misses up there. Cam Robinson/Hootie and on the oline in general with Greg Robinson at Auburn. Why is he coaching at LSU? He can't recruit and I don't see he has much impact on the offensive line either. Yes we ran the ball on A&M, everybody did this year. But when we needed it against teams like Bama, late against Ole Miss, and in the Georgia game I wasn't impressed with his results. And if he is coaching the offensive line, who gets the blame for the lack of discipline with all of the presnap penalties?

This. I don't know him personally, I just know of a kid from LA who chose to go to LSU's biggest rival and work towards LSU's failure.

I don't wish him the best, because what's best for him is not in the best interests of my school.

Stud was a stop gap after crowton and somehow he became untouchable member of the coaching staff. Our OL has got to be the one of the most penalized pre-snap team in the country.

Shocking as it is for some to believe, there are LA recruits that don't want to go to LSU, and nothing can change their minds.

Some recruits want to stay close to home, others can't wait to leave home.

I'm from north LA and I can attest to this. When I was in high school, everybody wanted to go to Texas when graduating and they say because of more opportunity, better paying jobs, more things to do etc. Shreveport and Bossier were like feeder cities to Houston and Dallas. Then there are those who love LA (me) an wanted to build up in tha boot. Not going to lie to yall south Louisiana folks, 50% of NLA is Texas (Cowboys, Houston, Dallas). There's a good number of LSU fans though, but can't speak on Monroe.

What everyone needs to realize is that Alabama has a blank check for everything thing football - legal or otherwise. They have ppl everywhere looking at every little detail as per recruiting, almost KGBish. If that's what Hootie meant, maybe he's right.

Even if LSU decided to go that route, the SEC would quash us like an ant. That's just the way it is. The sad part is that many of the players who are given the golden treatment are later processed (or thrown under the bus by the HC). They can afford to treat EVERY one of their recruits like gold under this scenario.

Say what you want about CLM, what he told Hootie's parents came from the heart. It may not have been the insincere butt kissing package they got from Bama.

I'm not so sure I want LSU to become like Bama in that respect. Of course we need to get someone better recruiting NorthLA.

He can say what he wants about why he made his decision. It really doesn't matter. He's Tiger Bait now just like all the other teams, nothing personal.

Now we get someone that in 3 years, we can say:

"Well, that worked out way better for us that I thought 3 years ago"

Then I hope every kid from Louisiana who signs with Alabama or Auburn for that matter gets processed.

He (Stud) has to go. I fail to see any value he brings to the staff. He can't coach the line, Miles has to get involved with that even, and he can't recruit from North Louisiana and he can't land the best Olinemen in the state. ie Greg Robinson and now Cam Robinson. WHAT DOES HE DO?

I agree. I posted the same thing earlier. It is a different culture in North Louisiana. I was close to transferring to Shreveport years ago and I witnessed the same things that you are saying. The news papers were inundated with the Dallas Cowboys. I turned down the transfer because nothing about the north made me feel comfortable. The culture, terrain, and especially the food. To say I was underwhelmed would be an understatement!

In before , JJ and Neville tiger start thumping their North Louisiana chests.

Also I have never been a fan of Stud and I hope that this is his last year but I personally feel that LSU is and has always been in a different situation than every other major college in other states. LSU is the flagship school of our state and there isn't any other in state school to compete with. There has always been a sense of pride for Louisiana boys to play for the tigers. I'm not sure what it says about these Louisiana boys that they would need to be sold on LSU. I'm grateful to attract recruits from Texas and Florida but recruits from those areas have multiple schools competing against each other and are not equal to LSU and the unique advantages that come with playing for the Tigers. The kids need to be recruited but when it gets to the point of having to sell them on LSU then I'm not buying it. Choices come with consequences and any Louisiana boy that chooses to be a gump will have to deal with them . Sorry kids that's life!

He's not a good recruiter. Never has been. He has been demoted twice and still remains on our staff. Demoted in both recruiting and OC. If you're demoted then you're obviously being lazy and not doing your job. If he's still making OC money it's even more perplexing how he's still on our staff. One of the reasons for ticket price increases is staff salaries. I'm not paying for his fatass to sit in the office and lazily recruit and consistently deliver highly touted olines that end up underachieving.

Do you see anyone knocking his door down to join another program? Probably a good indication right there he's not a very good coach to go with the rumors from the players.

Money!!

This is my thoughts exactly.

I dont get caught up into the decisions of high school kids but it is the driving force behind college football and must be held to this standard

If these kids dont want to play for lsu, I dont wish them shite. I hope they dont see the field at alabama as that doesn't help lsu at all.

There's plenty of top talent in this state that WANTS to play for the tigers and thats the ones everybody should focus on

Too much smoke for no fire. Devall, Davis, Cam, Hootie, just in recent years off the top of my head. You really have to wonder...the thing is that if 'everyone' wants to play for Saban, then why does he even have to recruit outside Bama or Miss/Ga? Anyone will lose a player or two, but now it is starting to become a serious problem...

If this is so obvious, why are no LSU fans in NLA taking pics and recording this stuff and sending to LSU or NCAA? Is LSU really getting out worked or out spent?

No limit to how many times REC can call.
