Stats from ESPN

He's a senior transfer who apparently is part of the grand exodus from Tubby Smith's program at Memphis.

Not the greatest shooter in the world, unfortunately. Seems to be a fairly athletic wing.

He can dunk a little.

47% , not bad.

Hung 28 on South Carolina, had several games in the 20's and once got 30. Would be a great one year player unless a better long term player is available.

Lots of guards out there. Get a couple and go with the Villanova 4 guard/wing system they used a few years ago.

Career high 33% from 3. That's what he meant by can't shoot. If he can defend and get to the basketball, sign me up. This team doesn't need to be shooting 3's anyway. We had several shooters last year and still managed to go 1-22 from 3

If we sign him he's probably an instant starter.

I would think so.

We'd need a point guard who can shoot to go with him, though. With Blakeney leaving we're lacking a three-point threat.

I don't wanna be Debbie downer, not that anybody cares what I think anyway, but I just wanna express that I don't have the desire to expend energy/hopes/dreams into basketball recruiting, no matter how promising the prospects can be.

Started dreaming of Final Fours when we signed Martin, Mickey, Quarterman to team up with JoB and Hornsby.

Started dreaming of the Final Four when we signed Simmons and Blakeney and Victor.

At this point, I'd rather save the energy until I see the product on the court.

Then you might want to stay off the Recruiting Board. That is literally the purpose of it.

Your mistake was not looking to see who the coach was when you started dreaming.

This coach is better.

And we're just trying to get into the tournament at this point, not the Final Four.

That's probably where that juco guard that's visiting this weekend comes in.

eta: I have no idea if he's a PG but it sounds like he'll be a good 3 point threat.

I know it doesn't matter but till this day I wish ALL of these dudes was on the roster at the same time Martin, Mickey, Quarterman Hornsby.
Simmons, Blakeney
I know CJJ was the coach and our record would have been like 15-15 but damn that would have been one hellava lineup to see

I beleive the JUCO guy is a sg. This is why missing on Davis hurt

Seems to have a nice mid range game. Looks like if he gets 12 to 14 shots in a game he is good for 15 or more. Decent rebound numbers. If he produces 14 points and 5 to 6 rebounds would be a definite plus.

He's also supposed to be a pretty good ball defender.

The other piece to this is that Brandon Rachal might be your three-point threat. I understand he has a decent stroke, though what he seems to be known more for is his transition game and ability to take people off the dribble.

I think that's going to be the price of admission to play under Wade.

Rachal has a really nice shot, but like most freshman it will take him some time to be a legit scoring threat. Hopefully Heiar can develope Hayward into a serviceable shooter coming off the bench

Don't hold your breath. That might be one of the open scholarships by summer.

I'm just going to wait and see for transfers. You are eluding to a ton of guards, no way we lose 3-4 of them

We just don't know who will be back. While it's very unlikely we lose 3-4 guards, I wouldn't be surprised if any one of them left the program.
