I completely agree but my point was the difference between the two programs is exactly why he is going there. His choice does reflect directly on Bama and LSU.

LSU had his mom on their side, been recruiting much longer, and the kid admitted he grew up cheering for LSU. This isn't a case of someone who's always had their mind on leaving the state. Before his first visit to Tuscaloosa, Robinson was considered a lock. This board rejoiced when he transferred to WM because most thought that locked him up for LSU.

Sorry, I'm not trying to lump you into the "sky is falling" crowd. I'm just tired of the panic over this whole deal.

Well, according to that line of thinking, Alabama should be able to just sign the top 20 players in the country and only get 5 stars - because they are so good and everything.

Saban got in his ear and got to his handlers and they all believed his shtick. It happens. It didn't work with Kendall Beckwith last year.

The truth is that LSU needs to be better on offense. That is why Cam Cameron is here. If we lose Robinson but average 35 ppg and beat Alabama, things will begin to reverse on every level.

Saban is a liar and some kids believe him. It is what it is. He told Landon Collins he would start from day one and Collins still isn't starting. He has told Robinson all kinds of things and money is likely flowing. Ok. We get up and fight again.

LSU isn't quitting and it isn't the end of the world.

But, I still think that Robinson comes to LSU.

For some people it'll be depressing, but there's nothing that will get me down this weekend, other than a loss. Cam's decision to attend Bama will not affect my mood.

Wow it will affect my mood because it will truly be disappointing that Bama can come into our state and steal such nationally ranked recruits once again. It will make me question, why on earth could our coaches not see how important Sims was in this equation as most people think it is? I just want to believe our coaching staff is much smarter than that. And if CRob does announce he will attend Bama, talk about the sh*t hitting the fan with the nega-tigers going bat-sh*t on Miles and crew. Talk about some interesting reading for a few weeks, it will be like d-day on this board.

I sure hope most people are wrong regarding the Bama lock thought, but as I posted awhile ago this could not be good for LSU "Bakari Guice will be suspended for a year for his involvement with a trip with Robinson to Alabama earlier this year." Along with the fact that Guice works for Bama in the summer months as a coach for it's summer camps. That in itself made me think beating out Bama was going to be almost impossible. I mean you have to think Guice gave any and all information to Bama as to what it will take to sign CRob including offering Sims. This will just be extremely disappointing and without a doubt will take a little bit of the excitement of the weekend away for me. I hope it ain't so.

This meltdown has been absolutely pathetic and hilarious.

The best ones are the ones that are complaining about the kid leaving the state.

Under that logic, LSU needs to stop recruiting Clifton Garrett, Daylon Mack, and Kevin Toliver and any other out of state prospects they may be recruiting.

Anyone agree with that?

I honestly feel that some of these guys won't be able to enjoy Saturday because of this. I feel sorry for them.

I don't get it. They're acting like if they didn't land Robinson, LSU is going to be a 7-5 team and Alabama is going to win 6 straight championships.

Give me a fricking break.

If I were admin, and Robinson picked LSU Friday, there would be alot of timeouts.

That astonvilla guy would probably get a lifetime ban.

Not foosball though. I <3 that guy. He was in those threads last night. Said if Robinson chose Alabama, he should be let go. Asked me if I would want the bleeding to stop. I still don't know what the frick he was talking about.

People are absolutely ridiculous. One HS kid MIGHT decide to go to Bama and LSU's chances of ever winning a national championship are over.

Well said.

It still sucks to see him run to bama, but you bring some rationality to the table.

and also, we forget that LSU recruits 2,3, and 4 star athletes all the time that develop into freak talents while here at LSU.They end up performing better and getting drafted higher than the 5 star kids that were recruited harder than them.

I guess this is the part some people are missing. Everyone says that CRob is a good kid. If that is the case, which I am sure he is, then what do you think was going through his head this past year when one of his coaches took a bullet for him "Bakari Guice will be suspended for a year for his involvement with a trip with Robinson to Alabama earlier this year" just trying to help him. I would believe that would weigh pretty hard on him. I also believe that will weigh into his decision added to the fact all the success Bama has had of late putting O-Linemen high up in the draft, To me it doesn't look good and at this point just putting the pieces of the puzzle together it is not looking like a Tiger it is looking like a f*cking elephant. I sure hope I am wrong.

No that is not the point. The point is losing arguably one of the top prospects if not the top prospect in the state 2 out of the last 3 years to Bama is not a great trend. Will LSU football disintegrate because of this? No, but it is disturbing and if LSU doesn't take a hard look at why this is starting to happen more frequently that would be stupid. And for us not to discuss this and to feel that everything is just perfect, would be equally as stupid.

Pretty obvious I wasn't responding to you. Doesn't change the fact that this thread is like a bad Steinbeck novel.

Stop looking for someone to blame. Bama has won 2 of the last 3 championships and put OL in the first round. LSU has not. shite happens. LSU will just pull another states best OT to take his place if they feel they need to. This is recruiting dude.

That trend continue in 2014 class?

How much is it going to hurt LSU overall?

Also, again..."losing the top prospect in the state."

I bet you don't have a problem taking Garrett, Toliver, Mack, Paris, Brown........so on.
