Although HR didn't do too much today in the game I can definitely say from watching the little I saw was positive. Got rid of the ball rather quickly and moved well in the pocket. (What a refresher from seeing Mett cemented in the pocket!) What an upcoming battle to look forward to with HR & AJ. I really think HR will be special before he leaves.

He has a cannon, just threw a bit high today. Liked what I saw, though. Expect the rantards to invade this thread with doom and gloom.

Saw him on the sidelines and didn't get to watch any action. But the way I'm looking at it, I don't mind it. I find solace in the fact that he's considered one of the best QBs out of high school, given a chance to play in the game.

Also considered one of the most consistent qb's during the week

FIFY

Just saw Rettig throw a terrible incomplete pass and then another to double coverage. We'll need to work on some player development, but the kid has an arm, no doubt.

I watched Rettig too. Thought he was very good. Moved around to escape the rush, got the pass off quickly like you see in the NFL, he did overthrow two passes just like Mett, thought that was strange. Rettig could have played for us last year. The good thing is Anthony Jennings may be even better. These two will be the starters as Sophs.

Saw this too. Atleast he's somewhat mobile.

He should've just completed a last second game-tying TD, but RSJ dropped it in the endzone.

Some ofthe experts were saying he gunned it all week, that his biggest problem was touch. Once he learned some finesse, he'd be good.

Doubtful considering he missed nearly the entire season with a torn ACL and, frankly, he's just not close to being good enough at this time.

Rettig and AJ need redshirt years.

Yep. But I liked his confidence.

I wouldn't take away too much from this game as far as QB play goes. They only have a week of practice with the receivers so I wouldn't expect them to be on the same page.

Take that last series with a grain of salt.......running time, nothing like a normal 2 minute drill, that's why you saw all the forced long balls.

It's almost impossible to be accurate working with all these new receivers after only having 5 days of practice. Rettig will be fine
