He's a composite 5*, which is all that matters.

Nobody who follows recruiting uses Rivals FWIWMF.

seems like Rivals had a lot more cred 3-4 years ago

247 really hit a home run with their composite

Isn't that the one that is mouth piece for Alabama recruiting?

No, Rivals caters to Texas now

247 is Alabama's bitch, now.

Nope.

To answer the OP: Clifton Garrett is the highest ranked LB we have gotten at LSU besides Bradie James.

Star system has been around since the late 90's. How wasn't Bradie James ranked?

Doubt it after tearing his ACL to start his junior year.

Can't say things worked out, but the question wasn't what they did in college. In high school, he won everything.

Eric Hill was pretty well regarded, but way before the ratings system of today so no sure how highly touted he was.

Is this why Yahoo Sports list him as a 4* and not a 5?

Old days:

Tyrone Malone from Tx
Roovelroe Swan
Ricardo Washington

Those are the three most highly touted I can remember from the 80's. Ricardo could have been a 1990 signee.

Nope. Michael Brooks, Toby Caston and Marc Ippolito were big time Blue Chip LB's. Poster is correct on Washington, Malone and Swan as well.
