The one thing I don't get is why even tweet that you are going to take visits, that's between him, LSU and the other schools.

Attention. That is the only reason.

Just a question did another local back tweet about his visit to ND last week?
Brossette took a visit to ND I think. He has one and has been tweeting about it coming up to Texas. Seems to be enjoying them immensely, and who doesn't like attention. I would.

The difference is, he didn't "re-open" his recruitment to take those visits. But have to consider that he may have scheduled before committing and the schools aren't willing to cancel for PR reasons.

Having watched prep games with d1 college coaches whose names all of you would recognize, no promotion is necessary. In fact once we were going to a game at gormley in no and a hs coach was trying to give the number of the players they needed to look at - one very notable head coach responded with "son if there is a player on the field tonight I will find him and quickly, if I cant find him he is not a player for my level or program"

I agree, it's not. The talent will be found in most cases. But try telling that to the kid and his parents .
They only know what they receive and if it doesn't satisfy them, they will gripe

Because if he didn't announce it, fans would be going crazy about him taking visits (kinda like they are right now) once they found out on the various recruiting sites.

Tons of kids do this and it's really no big deal.

Prior to his tweet Guice had a lengthy conversation with LSU running back coach and recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson regarding his status. The conversation was mostly Guice venting his frustration to Wilson that he isn't getting the recognition he deserves, and he's right. Guice is making a push to be the nation's top running back, but doesn't hold an All-American Game invite, which is rare for a player of his caliber.

The frustration doesn't end there, however, as Guice has been under-recruited by other programs. LSU is certainly in his heart and the desire to be recruited by other schools is more about wanting to enjoy the process in the way that his peers can, rather than true interest in any other program but LSU. According to sources, the two sides agreed on some visits being taken, but it's highly unlikely that it will be to a school that is considered a threat to LSU, such as Ole Miss, Alabama or other programs with whom they find themselves in heated recruiting battles.

If he doesn't visit an SECW team...then it's all good

Let the kid enjoy this some and get the recognition he deserves

Ragging on a high schooler for wanting to take visits to different campuses and have fun is a character flaw. A major one in my opinion. I'm glad you don't make decisions for "our" team

I wonder how many character flaw kids are on LSU. remember JL punched a guys and ended up being MVP on last year's team.

where did I rag for this reason?

way to take my entire statement out of context...

he said distinctively that his feelings were hurt, and that he wasn't getting enough attention...which was the basis of my statements....personally id recruit a more selfless young man....I could care less about him taking other visits...i would...
again get a more clear understanding and learn context before you attack...

"where did I rag for this reason?"

The entire thread is about him wanting to take visits and enjoy some national recognition. You said:

"hope he grows up.... thats a character flaw that i wouldnt want on my team...just like a damn woman always wanting attention...BS"

Maybe I misinterpreted your reason for needing to belittle a kid you dont know by saying he has character flaws, isnt worth being on the team, and acts like woman.

Sorry if I took that statement the wrong way.

Weiner wouldn't have Almost kicked him off the team if he were a good kid. I can't remember the last catholic star that was a trouble maker

I love how CHS thinks they've ever been a real threat to do this, bless their hearts.
