Grimes and Cam Robinson

I don't recall seeing anything about this, and I'm just curious. (I apologize if it has been discussed already.) I seem to recall some chatter a while back that Robinson was still somewhat attracted to LSU, even after his verbal to Bama. IF that was the case, and IF he wasn't an EE, does anyone think Grimes might be able to pull him back to the Tigers?

if grimes had come last year with cam cameron
we would have gotten cam robinson
which means we would have gotten hootie
which means that we wouldn't have gotten jamal adams
and we may or may not have gotten the other kids from nola that went elsewhere
I say the last piece bc if those kids saw all our guys staying in state, it would have brought huge momentum.

Hey bro I know you are socked in the in Ohio but CRob is all TIDE! and he is never coming here! Sorry, Grimes needs to spend his time with Kelly and the other kids we have a chance at, CRob is not one of them.

We would have had to offer Cam Sims to get CRob. That wasn't gonna happen, so I believe it was always a longshot regardless of who was recruiting him

i think we would have clapp brumfield, robinson and maybe another elite OT like the kid from the northeast that almost visited bc of his relationship with grimes
He can flat out recruit offensive lineman and has been quoted as saying he will go to the far ends to get LSU the best offensive line talent possible.

Thanks! It's snowing right now, as a matter of fact, but warmer than it's been. I just remember reading something on the board about how Cam was still talking up LSU after his verbal so I wondered if we were still trying to flip him, especially with a new O-line coach. Thanks for the responses!

Actually the OP brings up a valid point. The LSU offensive line has actually shite the bed the last few years (recruiting, on the field and in the draft).
The problem with the OL was confirmed by Miles axing Stud. Cam obviously had no problem with it. Your left wondering if the OL had different leadership would we have lost Greg Robinson, Cam etc.

Doubt it. I don't think Cam Robinson went to Alabama because of our OL coach. He is chasing other things. Also, we as a fan base have a tendency to believe that all good players would be coming if.....
Reality is that isn't the case. We laid it all out for Robinson and he wanted to go to Bama for whatever reason. He wasn't, isn't, and wouldn't have come to LSU.

All undersclassmen and all had legit playing time this past year and did fairly well.

Cam and his entire family have been fricking with Les and LSU for many years. They don't deserve to play on Les' team imo.
