Thanks Duck, i was momentarily mesmerized by one of the GIFs in the OT thread and lost all train of thought regarding this convo.

Well, right now, a 4 or 5. Not that we aren't in it, but we are really just now getting into his recruitment. Let's see after this visit.
I'm trying to be rational and realize we just entered this race and his godfather is Joker (UF Coach).
I personally think we offer him some things UF can't, i.e. distance, friends, playing freshman, DBU
I think he knows that, but he will be pressured from Joker.
If his parents are on board after this weekend, I'll move that to a 8 or 9. I believe they are key in this as is the coaching stability at UF.

and you are correct. There is never a "lock." Recruiting is fluid, meaning it is always changing. Always take rumors and quotes with a grain of salt.

there was a time "not so long ago" those things would have been something a recruit would jump at. now it's like we have to convince these kids to be apart of something great (i know it's apart of recruiting). But something has changed.. and we need to get that "something" fixed quickly

I think you're just only seeing the difficulty of recruiting from an LSU fan perspective.
Think of all the kids we get every year. Think about teams trying to recruit against us.
We are pretty dominant. I think you'll see some fixes within the next few months though.
