He was in the top 100 prospect list a couple weeks ago wasn't he...?

Mac will be drafted top 10 rounds. In this case they go off of what they saw when he was in high school.

It happens. Of course it does go the other way at times. Last year Jake Latz reportedly asked for 1.5 million and turned down just less than a million to come to LSU. Either way, hoping for the best decision for this youngster's future. The Tiger's will field the best pitching staff in the SEC next season regarless of what he does.

The kid is throwing 95 in high school. Unless he is willing to turn down a ridiculous amount of money, he gone!!

Yep, still not buying it until the day to sign pro passes. We've just seen this too many times before. I have chosen to just be pleasantly surprised from here on out.

Very odd to say no one wants to match your salary number publicly.

You can opt out of the draft. It's not about a number anymore. He's coming to LSU.

No, you can't.

If you enroll in classes before the draft, you're ineligible for the draft.

groups of players are ineligible for selection, generally because they are still in school. The basic categories of players eligible to be drafted are:
High school players, if they have graduated from high school and have not yet attended college or junior college
That's what the mlb page says so I guess the rules have changed.

The National POTY decided to "opt out" of the draft to attend TCU so anything's possible.

Did he get drafted or did the teams back off and not draft him?
Posted on 6/10/15 at 12:28 pm to tigrbaseball
Anybody remember Nick Longhi? He was drafted in like the 29th round after sliding real bad and we all thought he was ours. By the signing date some team pulled a few hundred thousand out of their arse and he never came to campus.
